The student faked a terminal kidney tumour and Mrs Retallack helped Bianco fulfil a ‘bucket list’, which included expensive gifts, trips and a ‘goodbye’ party for friends to say farewell before she died.

Bianco would be dropped off at hospital every day but would then sit in a café in her pyjamas and dress herself in fake bandages. She even pretended she had had her kidney removed.

Goddamn, the teacher sounds like the nicest and most trusting soul in the world, and she had her life ruined because of that.

That girl has serious problems, and 2 years in jail isn't going to fix anything. Should be in a mental institution.

She took advantage of her to get whatever she wanted far beyond just a place to stay using the cancer excuse. It's pure evil to exploit someone who was willing to do so much for her but it's not It's not incomprehensible. There are entire industries who prey on people who are incredibly generous and not skeptical enough.

I just don't know how you can go 6 years and never once go talk to a doctor or something. How the hell do you fake having a kidney removed without having to stay at the hospital for a number of days? Did she just limp back to the car clutching her side "Oh they took it out!"

Pretty sick to take advantage of someone so gullible and caring.

I see it as a combination Bianco manipulating her and it just snowballing with each year. Imagine how terrible she felt when she got definitive proof that she was faking it for years. It's more comfortable to dismiss the small inconsistencies and believe you're truly helping someone who needs you than come to the truth that a monster ruined your life.
