No, it was obvious that it wouldn't be $20 but I was thinking ~40 like The Witness.

This game has gotten way more pre-release hype than any lower cost indie game. The scope, budget and ambition seem way more on par with full retail pricing.

But at the same time, why even have the (Out 3/3) next to NMS, meanwhile, the other games don't? Isn't the whole purpose of the pre order section to list games that will be available for pre order this week? If that's the case, the (Out 3/3) is unnecessary and very poorly worded.

Absolutely. I have zero problem whatsoever with a 60 dollar price tag but I won't say I was expecting it. It could have been 40 like the Witness, or whatever other number they deemed acceptable. Again though, I'm fine with however they want to price it, don't get me wrong.
