I've still not seen Sucker Punch. I almost want to just to see if its as bad as people say.

Please don't. At this point I am a Snyder apologist, but Sucker Punch is not a good film. Some people like it, but I am not one of those people. Sucker Punch has attractive women in various states of undress, great visuals and yet it somehow managed to bore me silly.

I enjoyed it for the most part. Don't believe the hate.

Actually, do believe the hate. Just saying I enjoyed it, so it's possible to like it.

Lol Kevin Feige is a hustler. Only cares about money. As soon as he's done milking marvel phase 3 he'll be on the first ship out.

What happens when phase 3 ends, do they start over again or some universe shattering alternate reality when they beat Thanos?

All actors replaced and off they go again slightly differently like Thor is a women, Captain Britain, Howard Stark still alive.

It's framing narrative is basically Inception created by a fratboy. The main character is being lobotomized and the entire movie is her power fantasy to escape it.

In this power fantasy, she's a sex slave working at a brothel against her will. It gets worse as she "goes deeper".

Don't watch it.

That feels like a potentially interesting story thread that Snyder would never pick up on :lol

Don't really follow Snyder or any film maker to be honest. I tend to just go watch the movie and don't think about who made it. The couple I was talking about are pretty much the same.

We were just trying to think of whats different about this Superman and that stuck out the most.

It's been confirmed to continue.. hell Inhuman's releases after Infinity War Part 2.

If Chaw's review is at all accurate, you don't even really have to. This film essentially replaces it.

Why wouldn't I?

I got that you were joking about Frank Miller thanks to the spoiler-tag shit, but the rest of the statement seemed pretty straight-faced, and echoes similar sentiments I've seen multiple times in regards to superhero adaptation.

That's the joke.

I watched the extended cut. It's basically just "look at this cool anime shit" the movie wrapped in a stupid premise and told in a confusing nonsensical manner.

It really is not as bad as it sounds mostly thanks to the visuals and music IMO.
Sorry gaf!!

Let's say both BvS and JL Pt 1 disappoint - even if they replace Snyder, isn't it going to be a hard sell to bring in someone new to a universe that's pretty much solely the product of their predecessor's vision, and top of that, generally disliked by everyone?

Did you just make that up or do you have the inside track on the future of his career path?

Actually, I remember there being some scuttlebutt awhile ago that Iger was gonna bail, and Kathleen Kennedy wanted to move on up into that seat, and Feige would then take over Lucasfilm at that point.

Of course, there's no real way to source that. It's basically fantasy football.

It certainly wasn't the best Trek, but I quite enjoyed it. The hate is mostly online I find. Plot was meh, but the characters were great just like in the 2009 reboot.

I didn't like the super transporter and the Khan rehash but I can see how people who have never seen a Star Trek movie/series before would find it an enjoyable movie. I didn't hate it, I just wanted it to be better.

So who would be up for JJ Abrams helming the DCCU? It'll be safe, mainstream, popular, and probably soulless, but the reviews will be great!

Give it to Del Toro. He doesn't like super heroes so would only do the monsters. Then maybe in 6 years one movie comes out, it's great, but everything else falls apart. The good news is that 6 years went by so it's already time to reboot it again anyway!

Zack Snyder would probably be better suited to making a collection of short movies. Stuff like the Animatrix seems to be more his style.

LMAO @ PS4 still selling like crack.

I really feel for WB/DC here with these reviews. Granted, all that I've really read have been bits and pieces here and there that others have posted and even those have been just laying into the film, no punches pulled. I was cautious about the film sure, especially Lex (and at the end of the day, rather Doomsday been saved for the film itself), but I wanted it to be good. I want to get hyped about B-man and Supes beating the life out of each other and for it to be a great spectacle.

I'm still excited to see it but I wonder what's going though their minds at the studios as they see the reviews come in and how they're looking at the next two weekends. So much is riding on this movie for them.

Depends how separate the solo films are like Wonder Women and Suicide Squad. If they weren't restricted and stand on their own, WB probably have a good chance of salvaging the Universe but Justice League needs canned pronto if it starts in a few weeks. Focus on the unique solo movies and see if they are good then build up.

Even as a joke I personally think it may be in poor taste to essentially put those other things on the level of the Brussels attack but yeah. Sucks for media this week.

At least Daredevil S2 was really good.
