I liked Jurassic World, I agree with it's score.

As for BvS, it could go either way.

Terrible movie IMHO but you're entitled to yours; the lets weaponize dinosaurs somehow plotline from Aliens coupled with pretty ineptly directed wooden performances from Chris Pratt ( as in not being allowed to be funny Chris Pratt ) just made me wish for Spielberg. I hated it so much I'm honestly worried about Star Wars Episode 9: Colin Trevorrow was that uninspired to me. I sincerely hope he drops out of the production and Abrams comes back or Rian Johnson forces him off of it: speaking of which off to sign the bring Lucas back petition ;)

Zack Snyder never seems to review well for some reason and I've liked all of his movies even Sucker Punch so I'm willing to give it a chance: Warner Bros has been pretty terrible since Alan Horn was forced out though so it could go either way.

I just watched it after reading this thread all day...It's...it's not that bad, no loo breaks, followed the action, wasn't boring and I understood everything, I got it. I was expecting to be confused and I just wasn't. There is a lot in there that could have been trimmed, the lex scene at the end was kinda unnecessary, but they are obviously building lex into a different character in the dcu. Batman was boss even with the controversial stuff. Wonder woman straight up beast mode, even grim dark Clark was obviously a transition. This seems more like empire than the prequels.

But as a comic fan I was really impressed with the nods, doomsday looks fuck loads better on the big screen, we have 3 amazing comic runs that...Actually I need to digest this, I need to have a think about it.

Man, I saw it this morning and I think individual performances where good, sans Eisenberg. I think the fault for fucking up this movie falls on the shoulders of the director and the idiot WB executive(s) who thought it would be a good idea to stuff the entire setup for an expanded universe into a single movie.

Everything with Doomsday was fucking bad.

I've said this before but they learned nothing from the Green Lantern. Not a damned thing.

Its best that you don't think about it any further and keep the movie awesome in your mind.

Trash directing work tbh. And he wasn't getting anywhere before he did. He's lucky he has a big Marvel franchise.

People like evans, Reynolds, Cavill etc. are all competing for the same roles. But unless theyre bankable nobody really cares.

I think Cavill should try his luck going the indie route or something. But dude said he just wants some money which is cool and everything but yeah I don't see him having much of a body of work

Evans and Reyonlds will get lucky, get other work and survive, Cavill is a toss up.

Chris Evans has had an extremely hard time making a decent career outside of comic stuff too and he's got more comedy chops than Cavill

some people are just destined to be average players.

They're lucky to have franchises like this and avatar to give them something to do.

Edit: man from uncle was pretty fun. Liked vikander and hammer more than Cavill tho. But all 3 were entertaining.

Poor Armie Hammer can't catch a break. The other handsome white guys at least have a role to hang their hat on when their other ventures fall flat.

Remember when Armie Hammer was suppose to play Batman?

Remember when George Miller was suppose to direct Justice League?

Remember when there was hope for these IPs?

Forreal. I would have so been behind lone Ranger as a franchise but misguided reviews tanked it and the audience wasn't there to save it either

He's got a couple interesting movies coming up tho. He's smart to know he can't just look at the a-list projects anymore.

Regardless what you think about both films, dammmmmmnnnn.

In Snyder's defense, he's not trying to burn Ant-Man. In the same interview he talks about how Batman and Superman had a legacy before him, and will after him, and how the franchises are larger than any single artist.

Over 200 pages and I'm not sure that there's been anybody who actually liked it without having to brag about not liking whatever recent well-received blockbuster.

That point still stands regardless of the quality of the films tho

Literally no solo marvel (or dc aside from maybe wonder woman) movie coming up is as iconic an idea as batman v superman. That says nothing about his execution of it but just where it stands in pop culture.

Think it also may have something to do with being old enough to have seen Batman and Robin in theaters...you want terrible Batman there's your terrible Batman. I'm just reserving judgement till I see Batman v Superman.

17% yeesh worse than I thought!

Sigh, has anyone seen this in 3D? I really don't want to but the theatre across the street from me switches their non-3D BvS screen to Deadpool after dark -_-

I wish they'd pay Nolan 50 million dollars or something to come back. I think lack of Nolan (and his co-writer brother) was the primary reason this movie failed.

Chris Terrio failed and failed hard. I feel like Snyder is hit or miss. He sometimes makes very entertaining movies and sometimes makes a pile of crap. This movie also felt WAY over-produced by Warner Brothers because they probably don't trust Snyder completely like they trusted Nolan completely. I mean right before (actually interrupting) the climax with Aquaman and Cyborg took me out of it. I blame the Warner execs for stuffing that in.
