Days Gone is absolutely nuts too. There are videos documenting the tiny details, like pupils changing depending on the light, and the zombies have insanely microscopic veins and scars on them with amazing texturing that almost no one will notice because in some instances you fight 300 of them lol and it's an open world.

And I'm a super Days Gone fan besides tht it has crazy dynamic gameplay!!! Bend are geniuses for creating a first game like tht tht puts other established devs to shame. You can kill a zombie a duck behind a car and start seeing zombies go to the dead body and start eating. Hordes will sometimes attack the bigger zombies. I've seen a fight between wolves, bears and the bobcats fighting eachother just bcus thy crossed paths. Alot of games shit most aren't putting Al to tht level.

It's a shame how badly it chugs on the jaguar, just think if they had delayed it to PS5 launch. It could have been all 1 map instead of divided up, added some ray tracing, upped the zombie count in some areas. Added the general polish needed and brought back the choice mechanic. Finished PS4 gen with The Last of Us then started the PS5 gen with Days Gone.
They could still do a buch of those things with a patch on PS5, like ray tracing and more zombies.
Also it seems support for the game was strong, I don't know how it runs now. One friend on Pro said that doesn't have particular problems now, dunno on base PS4.
Edit: anyway, Days Gone 2 will be on PS5, so...

Question...since the final dev kits aren’t out yet, doesn’t that mean NO ONE knows the PS5 specs yet?

Final? At this point in time I'd say so, consoles are getting ready for production so there's not much they can change.
But devkits don't matter that much, devs have had target specs for a very long time now. The question is: did both sony and MS hit their targets? We'll find out soon.

I'm not sure why anyone would want the PS5 and the SeX to have such a big disparity in terms of power. The best thing for EVERYBODY is for both consoles to be more or less equal.
These people don't want what's best for everyone. It's a very tiny, loud minority, but the idea is that their plastic box being better isn't enough. The "opposition" has to be vastly inferior.
Just wait for the " Cerny exposed as fraud " hot takes if PS5 ends up being <10Tf. Already saw some of that when GitHub gained traction last year.

But having a cheap and far weaker console would be so cool, like, think of all the money Sony could make. Don't you want Sony to win? If Sony wins, WE WIN. YEAH!

Yes, final, which is something totally different than target specs. If they’re still trying to hit a certain number, I assume the answer to my question is that no one knows final specs.

Can you imagine being a dev and not knowing what hardware you're targeting til 3-4 months before release?
They've had target performance specs for some time. There's wiggle room but you're talking miniscule changes.

+1
It's what happens when people think they're much smarter than they really are.

I have a Dream. That all next Gen Consoles will be with In 10% power of each other. That Xbox Players and PS5 can play together and celebrate the next generation. I have a dream of great games and innovative gameplay loops.

I have Dream that the Next Gen Console Wars Of 2019 and 2020 will end in Peace! There has been to many that have lost the Mind and Soul. To many lost in the War!

Bring our Frontline Warriors Home and teach them Peace! Think about the Children!

Sorry, what +1 means? Yes, I know, probably I live under a rock.

The performance is much better now after the patches

If PS5 is indeed more powerfull than SeX, then why Sony don't tell us just the teraflops number to destroy the competition ? Their silence just play perfectly for Microsoft, and we got plenty of shitty articles like: 9,2 vs 12.

They are making clearly bad movements, marketing wise, although theres always people that thinks that Sony plays 4d chess.

Does anybody know if Sony has said anything in regards to "Smart Delivery"? For instance, if you buy a game like Cyberpunk or TLOU 2 on PS4, will you get the PS5 version in an update when playing on PS5?

Yep. I remember back in January 2019 a mod at Re confirming PS5 dev kits (probably PC-based or maybe first Gonzalo-based) were out and I would wager the accompanying tech docs detailed the precise final retail specs being aimed for. Logic dictates that IMO. I don't doubt they'll hit that target too. Microsoft have hit their 12TF target after all.

"Smart Delivery" is an illusion, propaganda.

That is just common sense ;)

Edit: And let me add this, if Sony put a stupid name for that "feature", it is propaganda too.

Well, O’dium said Sony is targeting between 10.5 and 11.5 TF’s. Would you call that range minuscule?

Why do you say that? I think it's a nice feature. I just wonder if many cross platform games will actually use it!

edit: I mean specifically stating that they want to prevent separate games being sold for One X and Series X. Crossbuy would be very nice to have on PS as well!

Will the PS5 have better WiFi capabilities? I hope so.

I feel like I have to keep my PS4 wired in order to have the best possible experience, which is a hassle with such a long cord I have to discreetly lead around the house

Being reactionary isn't a good look. If they have a schedule, why deviate? Why show that the competition is affecting what you've planned out?

I wouldn't concern myself with what he says. And no, I wouldn't call that miniscule. That's a ~200mhz swing on a 48cu chip.

Marketing hasn't even begun yet for Sony. You think MS feeling the need to announce pretty much everything is them doing well? Time will tell on this, but I'm fairly certain it's because they want their info out there first, because it's not as good. You don't want to be second if you are worse than your competition. That is a bad marketing move.
As funny as it is, I was thinking the other day that that might actually be the issue - Sony might desperately want to reveal the PS5 live on a public event, but the virus spreading like crazy unables them to do so, so eventually they might be forced to do a digital-only event, or just a generic pack of trailers on YT, FB etc.
I watched the phone one, and that was pretty good actually. To be honest in this climate until things get better it's probably the only way it's going to happen.

Maybe it already has happened at the event on the 29th at the Sony hall, maybe that was planned to be a live event, but instead they went for a pre recorded session that they will put on youtube in a few days. Who knows.

Just show the number to humiliate the competitor, everything else can be shown afterwards.

I hope thy both do. For some reason my ps4s take to wifi good but my Xbox s smfh does not stay online unless it's wired. The wifi connection it says is too weak.

Fair enough concerning the terminology, but I read that MS will support free next-gen version upgrades for all 1st-party games, and CDPR has stated they will support this feature for Cyberpunk. In that manner, if you purchase the Xbox One version, new or used, of any of those supported titles you have a free pathway to the XSX version of the game.

Has anyone heard whether Sony will support this feature for their 1st-party games like TLOU 2 and Ghost of Tsushima, or 3rd-party game like Cyberpunk? I think it would be great if they did that as well. People wouldn't have to stress over whether to hold off on a PS4 purchase to avoid double-dipping.

Can't see why not. It's essentially just a pro/x patch

It's called cross buy on PlayStation. Any 3rd part has had access to it and it's up to publishers to allow it. If cyberpunk doesn't support it, it's because CDPR chose not to.

For what I understood, crossbuy impose you to download an entire different game, smart delivery should let you download just the files that you need, basically adapting the game that you have, not giving you another version. Is basically a space saver.

Are you talking about cross buy? I've seen that mentioned "in defense" to smart delivery but I dont know if that's really the same thing?

Sony would give you the vita version of a ps3 game or vice versa but arent those entirely different versions of a game console vs mobile?

Smart delivery is more just providing the enhancements of the console game for free. Pretty sure Sony has done this too? Though they have also charged for the enhancements and sold as entirely new games.

Best case scenario for Sony fans here you should appreciate that Microsoft came out and announced the feature because it does put pressure on sony to not try and double dip your head in the toilet at launch.

I wouldn't say it's "propaganda" but rather the reinforcement that they won't be falling back to previous generation anti consumer policies we saw at launch.

Not a bad thing at all.

How about 8 2GB GDDR6 @16Gbps, 2 2GB DDR4 @3200MHz
.. that's (8*4*16)+(3.2*8*2) = 563.2 (nearly there, I probably made a mistake anyway)

Doesn't work; there's no DDR4 chip IC with speed and bandwidth low enough at "only" 2GB capacities that would give only 5 GB/s bandwidth, let alone 2x 2GB chips to give the number in that leak. For example a single 3.2GHz 2GB 8-bit chip would give 6.4 GB/s bandwidth.

I messed up my earlier number tho; a single 800MHz DDR4 chip would give 1.6 GB/s bandwidth, not 12.8 GB/s. But that leak gives 5 GB/s to the bandwidth if in fact GDDR6 bandwidth is 560 GB/s (which would need a 320-bit bus and 14Gbps chips), which you can't get with dual-channel 800MHz chips as that'd be 3.2 GB/s, not 5 GB/s. 3200MHz 8-bit chips in dual-channel (for 4 GB as the leak says) gives 12.8 GB/s.

In other words the leak would've said 572.8 GB/s if it wanted to combine the bandwidths and try looking legit, and we already know you don't combine the bandwidths like that. MS caught all kinds of crap this gen for trying to pull that with the ESRAM + DDR3 in XBO. They're two different types of memory, so you calculate their bandwidths separately and list them separately. Same goes for GDDR6 + DDR4.

in SOME rare cases, puberty starts at 9 as well :messenger_tears_of_joy:

It depends on gender, females start puberty between 8-13:

"Girls usually begin puberty between the ages of 8 and 13 years old."

For once...
