sorry but this is the biggest load of horse shit i have read all day and i have read rusco say a lot of dumb shit today. i could understand this line of reasoning being applied to the road to the ps5 event but this one? we dont expect gameplay demos from these conferences now? what am i even reading?

Kena is huge to me.
It's a game that tells me that a small team at the start of a generation can now make games that look better than a big team(Naughty Dog) at the end of a generation.
It's insane and in a year or two we will see things that are beyond insane.
Sony's conference promised less gameplay and ended up giving more.

Anyways, first reaction to the console was ewwwww, but after sleeping on it, eh. Doesn't matter to me as it wont be seen.
Games wise there's also nothing that can't wait. ill be grabbing a xbox first for Halo and forza and then pick up one of these a year or 2 later.

I think that for those thinking that there wasn’t enough games shown, of course Sony is holding more close to the chest. Cerny essentially said a while ago back in March during the GDC talk that there will be many more times to show games. We know Sony took a big stance on showing their stuff in their own way in their own time this year and we have a few big shows left. Plenty time for more games

I think he did the right thing. If I was an X Series X only fan, and was watching Sony's PS5 reveal to get a glimpse on the multiplats, I'd appreciate a heads-up to know which ps5 games will be coming in my console as well.
Sorry, no, that's not how you do marketing or communication. He keeps hurting Xbox with his inappropriate communication. This was a Sony event, just congrat to the new console and look forward. There will be enough opportunities to showcase and promote the own product.

I realize Spiderman is more like DLC but still, it’s a great next gen showcase and the 4k trailer made me appreciate it a lot more.
I’m now curious is Insomiac isn’t working on a true Spiderman 2 at this point

the skin rendering is so good and thats usually where most stylized games fall apart, but here its flawless
can't wait to see what knack 3 will look like with this tech

Ok, well, I've watched the reveal again without the grain of the stream. Objectively, this has to be the best console reveal yet. Almost a solid hour of games shown, many with "Holiday 2020" delivery or at least 2021. I saw WAY more use of ray tracing than I expected to see this generation and it's early in. It definitely showed more 'next gen' quality and things like ray tracing than other 'next gen' demos have so far. There was a great mix of games. Sure that means no every game was my speed, but a good mix so that there should have been something for just about everyone. Definitely showed "next gen!"
Demon's Souls??? Did they say Demon's Souls? That game OWNED me for about a year and it looks like it will again. Amazing looking too. GT looked just stunning. All the RT effects there really surprised me. Same for Ratchet & Clank. The particle effects and density along with the Ray Tracing. Didn't expect to see that. Horizons and the other games looked great as well.
The console itself is stunning. Definitely a very elegant looking piece of kit. And did Sony just release 'Lockhart' before MS did? lol. I know this digital version apparently isn't gimped though...just looks to be missing the BD drive. Interesting. I still expect it to be $100 or more less than the disk drive version. I mean, if it's not at least $100 less, I don't know what the point would be in releasing it. But we'll see. I like that you can put the PS5 either vertical or horizontal though it's obviously meant for vertical placement. I don't really like the white. I mean, it LOOKS awesome and I like it, but as with the controller, I see that looking dirty pretty quickly. ESPECIALLY the controller. Maybe there will be a black version? If not, I'm gonna have to get a skin so the thing doesn't look filthy after a couple of years. Really cool design though. I can't believe it's that thin!
So overall for the presentation I give Sony a 9 out of 10. Their marketing department did a MUCH better job in this presentation than MS did. Game content was better and showed more "next gen," although of course some of those games will be multiplatform- it was still good to see them and know they were actually running on PS5. So we know it wasn't just a high end PC version being shown or something like that.
Games- 8.5 Hey, it can ALWAYS be better but I think they knocked it out of the park, especially in comparison to what else has been shown for next gen so far.
Overall presentation- 9.0
Console design and reveal - 9.0 (could be higher if not for the white and getting dirty factor- I'm biased).
Just wow. Sign me up. I think I'll still get the BD disk version, but man...WHEN can I pre-order this thing! I am SO READY!

yep thats pretty much what i said. they had spiderman, demon souls, re8, horizon 2, ratchet and gt7 in one conference. it shouldve been the best conference ever. they shouldve just focused on those games with maybe a couple of indies like little devils and kena which frankly had more gameplay than spiderman, demon souls, and horizon 2.honestly Sony showed TOO many games lol
