Alot of deals were made prior to the acquisition and it would have factored into the bid price. And Disney isn't going to tell Bethesda what platforms they have to release it on. Microsoft is not going to pay $7.5 billion for all of their properties "except the big ones".Dude. They aren't signing contracts for this game today. The deal between lucas film and bethesda was likely made prior to the acquisition. They should've said "in development exclusively for xbox and pc" to clear the air right away.
That wasn't because of an exclusivity deal, though. Bioware didn't feel comfortable developing for PS2/Gamecube and decided to stick with PC and Xbox because of their similarities.Lucasfilm allowed KOTOR to be exclusive back in the 2000s.
Do that do that for game like elder scroll oblivion, mass effect, pvz and rise of tomb raider etc?If this was coming to PS5, Sony would have retweeted it already.
Hope not. Maybe this one will actually be fun to play.So this is how xbox gets their own Uncharted, however will it be up to par with naughty dog?
Sony doesn't own the Spiderman IP. Marvel/Disney does. Disney also owns Lucasfilm. Spiderman is probably worth boatloads more as an IP than Indiana Jones.Microsoft or Zenimax don't own the Indiana Jones IP, though. Lucasfilm licensing conditions could very well require them to put the game on other platforms, just like MLB's new contract with Sony requires them to develop MLB The Show for Xbox.
Oblivion is old but they have tweeted about the others. Infact they retweet most major announcements even with cases like Assassin's Creed Valhalla where the partnership is with Xbox.Do that do that for game like oblivion, mass effect, pvz and rise of tomb raider?
Just asking
I don’t think a game like this would be exclusive to Xbox, Indiana Jones is too big of a game to be exclusive to Xbox. Maybe I’m wrong.
Those that you mentioned are made by Sony and that includes Spider-Man when Sony still owns the rights to Spider-Man.Why are so many games "too big" to be Xbox exclusives? Why wouldn't that also apply to Spiderman, God of War, Horizon etc?
We currently don't know when or what was agreed to when this deal was inked with Disney and it may well be multi-plat but If certain games on PlayStation aren't too big to be exclusive why would so many other games from studios Xbox owns be too big to be exclusive?
Let’s not jump to conclusions, but I can see this happening.No. MS paid $7.5 billion for timed exclusives.
I'm seeing some massive copium in this thread from the Sony Boys™.Why are so many games "too big" to be Xbox exclusives? Why wouldn't that also apply to Spiderman, God of War, Horizon etc?

I'm not saying the game definitely won't be an exclusive. I'm saying that if Lucasfilm doesn't want it to be, then I doubt Zenimax would refuse to cooperate.Sony doesn't own the Spiderman IP. Marvel/Disney does. Disney also owns Lucasfilm. Spiderman is probably worth boatloads more as an IP than Indiana Jones.
Let the port begging beginXbox fanboys are really thinking this is going to be exclusive to Xbox ecosystem, I personally believe I don’t think it will, it’s too big of a franchise to be exclusive to one single ecosystem and if that’s the case then damn Microsoft is making big moves in the Industry.

Should have been LucasFilms Games first game.
I'm almost certain this game is going to be multiplatform as Disney/LucasFilm would probably not have licensed out the IP if they could not reach as many players/consumers as possible. However, I expect Microsoft to have the marketing rights, possibly exclusive DLC extras, and if they go all out, Day 1 GamePass availability. Doing those 3 things will make purchasing the game on PS5 a very difficult proposition.
Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was so bad. I'm actually disappointed they never made the Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis movie.Nice, looking forward to seeing more.
The new Wolfenstein games were pretty good (the first one much more so than the second one, but still) so this should be good.
If nothing else it can't be worse than Kingdom of the crystal skull, right?
Uncharted 4 doesn't even come close to the indy movies, even though the game tried its best as being an interactive movie. In terms of story? The films are great, but the writing in uncharted 4, lost legacy is on par with most films.
Its entirely possible, but if that were the case, I would think Microsoft/Bethesda would wait for a huge industry event like E3 to announce it as an Xbox/PC exclusive instead of a teaser trailer on twitter that lists no platforms. That makes much more marketing sense to me.Or Disney is fiscally in the shit because of Covid and MS money hatted a huge OP.
Bethesda is MS now. Time to let it go...
It was some insider claiming its not MS exclusive. What was? Is deleted i think
You missed the point. The point is that Lucas Arts didn't compel Bioware to make the game for multiple platforms as some are suggesting they will do this time around because it's a big video game and big videogames always come to Playstation. That wasn't because of an exclusivity deal, though. Bioware didn't feel comfortable developing for PS2/Gamecube and decided to stick with PC and Xbox because of their similarities.
Industry insider Marcus Sellers who's gotten some things right and some things wrong in the past said this game is coming to PlayStation. He deleted the tweet though because he was receiving threats in his direct messages. What was? Is deleted i think
I also see a lot of XGS employees retweeting this but not SIE employees
Literal who claiming to be insiderIt was some insider claiming its not MS exclusive.
I don't buy it anyways. MS is absolutely NOT going to fund 3-4 years of their own studio developing a game on ps5. This not mentioning platforms while ESO expansions do means its 100% exclusive.

I think this game has been in development for some years now. MachineGames last major project was Wolfenstein 2 which released in late 2017, effectively giving them 3 years of time in-between. This game is no more than 18 months away from launch if I was a betting man. Also, the acquisition of Bethesda by MS wont be finalized until late this year, so MS isn't/hasn't spent money on this games development. It was some insider claiming its not MS exclusive.

Hopefully not, Uncharted 4 was like 80% Walking+Talking+Climbing+Driving. So boring.hope it's not first person.
If it's bethesda... then maybe xbox wants their own uncharted ?
