with over 3.5 days of in game time in Starfield (and having loved the game!), I can confirm you are talking 20000% out of your ass when you claim that Starfield is a superior RPG, they both are very similar in terms of their RPG mechanics on offer, and if you want a true "Role-Playing" experience, it's far easier to find that immersion in CP2077 over Starfield and it's various oddities and weird exclusions.Totally different games, there is a lot more depth to Starfield with what you can build and the size of the universe.
Cyberpunk is like a shooter with RPG elements, whilst Starfield is an RPG with some shooting.
As an RPG Starfield is a far superior game.
I'd rather compare CP2077 to Witcher 3(also by CDPR) or Deus Ex HR+MD.Another thread or not, I just think these two games aren't the right match to do a comparison.
Different developers.
Different styles of gameplay.
Different story objectives.
Lol wtf, the difference is huge.I mean, yeah. With all it's flaws CP2077 is a visual masterpiece fueled by the crazy amount of art, design adn production design work.
Starfield is just boring, lazy and generic in every respect except maybe for guns. (I use my own screenshots for reference)![]()

I'm being pedantic here, but wouldn't Neon vs. Night City make for a better visual comparison in this instance?I mean, yeah. With all it's flaws CP2077 is a visual masterpiece fueled by the crazy amount of art, design adn production design work.

How it is so different? They are both Future Time RPGs.I'd rather compare CP2077 to Witcher 3(also by CDPR) or Deus Ex HR+MD.
Starfield is a different kind of game.
If you want this bloodbath...I'm being pedantic here, but wouldn't Neon vs. Night City make for a better visual comparison in this instance?
Because the RPG elements although they have an impact on combat have very limited input on outcomes in Cyberpunk, almost none in fact. Unlike Starfield. How is Starfield more of a RPG than Cyberpunk?
automatically goes to Cyberpunk due to the 18323909 load screens you'll have to go through to see all of Neon.If you want this bloodbath...![]()

There are more unique outcomes in the Main Quest of CP2077 than there are in the Main Quest of StarfieldBecause the RPG elements although they have an impact on combat have very limited input on outcomes in Cyberpunk, almost none in fact. Unlike Starfield.
Cyberpunk is very shallow in comparison.
Not only that, it is STILL a mess! But it has fancy graphics so it's all good right? It's crazy to me how people forgot how broken CP was at launch, and how everyone was making glitch compilations with the naked T-posing, the cops and all the other broken AI stuff. Starfield launched in a much better state comparatively.
Btw the video doesn't even show original CP but the expansion instead, that is considered vastly better after three years of patches.
And you don't think the screen of Starfield is a bit selected? Because Starfield can look really good, and CP 2077 quite bad. Now of course globally CP2077 is looking better, doesn't mean Starfield look bad:Lol wtf, the difference is huge.
And my CP2077 screens are from 1.5, so they kinda outdated (RTX reflections only, the light is static).automatically goes to Cyberpunk due to the 18323909 load screens you'll have to go through to see all of Neon.
Visually it was tad impressive even at launch (PC). Still is.It's not a very fair comparison, it took CDPR almost three years to finish developing the game since launch.
Game sold well, reviewed well, and plenty of people love it. The majority of complaints are, as always, the hardcore giga nerds that create endless echo chambers of a game is bad instead of just playing stuff they like.It is very strange to me that Bethesda, a critically acclaimed studio did so bad with their latest release under Microsoft.
better world? ehhhhh more variety and wonder but I prefer the lived in and still quite varied locale of Night City and it's surroundings than the 90% of empty planets in Starfield, to say that Night City is devoid of anything when Starfield is literally for the most part empty planets and the same 4/5 interest points dotted around on each procedurely generated landing zone is laughable. It's not a very fair comparison, it took CDPR almost three years to finish developing the game since launch.
Starfield is very polished for the type of game it is from the outset.
I think Cyberpunk's main story is better than Starfield's, but Starfield has the better world and much more content.
A lot of Night City is just window dressing, there really isn't much to do in the way of exploration. It's even worse outside of Night City when 90% of the map is devoid of anything.
So they both have their issues but I personally don't think they can be compared directly to be fair. Maybe when Cyberpunk gets spaceship building?
I specifically select IDENTICAL shots (more or less considering the vast difference in scale) to give Starfield at lest the fighting chance. There are no Lunar bases in CP2077 though. And you don't think the screen of Starfield is a bit selected?
Cyberpunk only takes place in primarily one big Metropolis. Starfield is across several Star Systems. Furthermore CP follows a preset character and narrative with limited outcomes, Starfield features your avatar and you can have different outcomes and approaches every playthrough. How it is so different? They are both Future Time RPGs.
Yes I think Cyberpunk looked fantastic at launch at 60fps on Series X. Had no business being on PS4 and Xbox One!And my CP2077 screens are from 1.5, so they kinda outdated (RTX reflections only, the light is static).

CP2077 on a single planet only means it loses. I mean if you can't compare moon bases then what's the point in even playing?I specifically select IDENTICAL shots (more or less considering the vast difference in scale) to give Starfield at lest the fighting chance. Oh, I have an idea!CP2077 on a single planet only means it loses. I mean if you can't compare moon bases then what's the point in even playing?
New Fallout 4 Current Gen re-release quote: “Better than Starfield!”A million time fucking yes. Starfield is worse than Fallout 4 my guy and thats not a high standard to surpass.
I absolutely love Night City, probably my favourite open world city in any game, but I've just had far more memorable random encounters and side quests in Starfield than I did in CP2077.better world? ehhhhh more variety and wonder but I prefer the lived in and still quite varied locale of Night City and it's surroundings than the 90% of empty planets in Starfield, to say that Night City is devoid of anything when Starfield is literally for the most part empty planets and the same 4/5 interest points dotted around on each procedurely generated landing zone is laughable.
No you did not, you selected a screen of New Atlantis (which honestly don't look really good) were you could have taken Neon City for example.I specifically select IDENTICAL shots (more or less considering the vast difference in scale) to give Starfield at lest the fighting chance. I haven't even got to Neon yet but that is actually pretty cool.If you want this bloodbath...![]()

I need to pick up Cyberpunk. What's it like on PS5?
Oh man I can see this happening.New Fallout 4 Current Gen re-release quote: “Better than Starfield!”![]()
Nice way to ignore my neon comparisson. Also Neon is a closed-space location. It would be more productive to take The Groundbreaker from the Outer Worlds as an example. No you did not, you selected a screen of New Atlantis (which honestly don't look really good) were you could have taken Neon City for example.

I liked both games a lot too! I just don't see it, but personal taste indeed my friend! glad you saw something I didn't as it made the experience that much more special to you.I absolutely love Night City, probably my favourite open world city in any game, but I've just had far more memorable random encounters and side quests in Starfield than I did in CP2077.
They both have their pros and cons in this respect, but it comes down to personal taste in the end, I don't necessarily think one is better than the other because they're so different. I like both games.
AI, as in rudimentary decision trees or AI as in self learning and adapting behavior based on past experiences and player decisions?Haven't completed Cyberpunk yet, but the video you shared, it highlights difference in game design approach from both studios.
In Cyberpunk it's scripted and will play out same each time.
In Starfield it's simulated, NPCs are working based on AI.
