What's happening now is so many that were jumping up n down excited when MS acquired ABK didn't think this is how MS was gonna compete.

Why so stingy? I don’t have a living room PC. For me it would be awesome if Microsoft would make a slick and silent well-designed Xbox with a specific big screen blades like Windows build capable of running Steam, full Xbox backwards compatibility with all Xboxes and hardware powerful enough to run everything new at 60fps. The perfect box. I don’t trust the usual PC manufacturers to get the Xbox stuff right, maybe asus could do something idk but I would hesitate to jump in.
Valve releasing a new Steam Machine would be great too. Choice #1 if Gamepass and Xbox go under.

Haven’t heard his latest rant but he seems like the most honest one at least, anger can be a good thing, the fake facade goes away. I already hear several others in the x pr influencer army starting to reach the acceptance phase, some more emotional than others. I’m 100% sure they’ll all flip flop and go ”I was wrong, this could actually be great!” after the announcement, just wait for it.
For timdog it seems like the cut went to deep, he has no trust in the company or the suits at the top. I can respect that. Personally I have no idea how they can repair the damage at this point. Feels like we’re watching a historical brand failure like the industry has never seen before. Stadia went down in a better way. At least we got refunded some of the lost investments there.

I personally am not worried about the quality of games, too many seem like early access as it is.
I am in fact worried about any company getting lazy because they are the only console maker in town for games I mainly play

The only person at Xbox who is worth a damn is Rodd Fergusson, who did a good job on Gears 4 and 5. He directed Diablo 4, so he is now back in the fold at Xbox. His games had no delays and were generally controversy free, if a little bland, but regardless of what fanboys say, they were safe and solid games. They were released in a timely fashion with no major bugs. I have LONG stated that he should replace Matt Booty as I believe he could properly oversee the studios.

I am not going to outright dismiss the concerns of a gaming world if Xbox left, but those fears are way overblown.
Could Sony jack up console prices and game prices? Yes, but they do need to actually sell those things. If you overprice them, people will stop buying.
An $800 console is just crazy talk. Jack up the price to $800 and hav nobody buy it. Nobody buys it? Sony has nobody to sell games to. Sony absolutely needs their gaming division to remain profitable and the best way to sell as many copies of games as possible.
