1. In many ways games are better than they've ever been and people are blinded by nostalgia when comes to discussing older games in comparison to newer games. Alot of older games are barren worlds with not much to do.

2. Not every VR game need to be VRified.....and VR gamers shouldn't be soooo against games being made for VR using normal controllers for the sake of growing the medium.

DmC (Devil May Cry remake) is a damn good game and deserves a sequel.
To add onto this with another controversial opinion, they should have used this newfound knowledge about the character action genre to create a game that would have been as artistically and mechanically solid as DmC, instead of Hellblade 2.

There's not many character action devs left in the world.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is the best game in the series.

Nintendo is worst company in gaming by a long shot. Its truly incredible, its whole 9 yards, archaic HW, SW, policies and garbage overpriced children-y games. How they survived early 00's is beyond me. Any other company treating their fanbase like Nintendo does, would be met by huge criticism, but not Nintendo.

Mario will survive being middling and proclaimed as great based on prior reputation. Mario Odyssey is middling and was proclaimed to be great (97% metacritic), but the game is such a step back from Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 which are utter masterpieces.
Have you played Galaxy recently? I guess you are already saying it's an unpopular opinion, but see things the opposite way, I love Odyssey and think of Galaxy as being overrated.

I got to replay Galaxy a few years ago in the Mario All Stars collection. In my memory it was typically brilliant Mario platforming with the added joy of leaping between the competing gravitational pulls of different planetoids, and then a few segments focusing on motion control tossed in to increase variety. In reality, it's just waggle all day. Mario's awesome platforming moveset is kind of pushed aside to constantly use waggle to point at star bits and collect them, point at and shoot things with star bits, point at and grab stars to pull Mario into them, waggle-balancing on a ball, and non-stop spinning to deflect or activate or attack or whatever etc etc. I still like the game and I didn't get to replay Galaxy 2 which I remember being a much better game than Galaxy 1, but I was exhausted by how much Galaxy abandons the philosophy of Mario games being platforming playgrounds to slavishly showcase the wii remote's features at every turn. I much prefer exploring large, charming environments with Mario's awesome platforming moves and a variety of fun transformations to enhance and add to, not replace, Mario's moveset, which is what you get it in Odyssey.

TES and Fallout suck ass. Horrible gameplay, full of bugs, even gamebreaking ones, boring stories, I hate their character design, everything feels completely outdated. The last game, starfield, was just as horrible. Feels like a even more boring version of Oblivion in space. And I don‘t understand why people still buy their games.

Switch 2 is japan's AAA future.

their game wont sold alot on traditional homeconsole anymore. be it Sony or Xbox's console. the country already become a handheld terriratory. now it is Nintendo's strongest fort.

Switch specs is too weak to sufficient ambitious japanese AAA devs so for now they need to rely on Playstation and PC. but if the rumors that Switch 2 has atleast PS4 level of performance, it would be a game changer for their AAA developers. it could be a turning point for current struggling big AAA studios like Square Enix. ofcourse, assuming it would be sold and popular like the original Switch there.

Star Wars Battlefront 2015 is the best Battlefront game by a long shot for me personally. It has amazing map design and the star card loadout system had tons of possibilities and synergies. Everyone having a jump pack didn't bother me at all and it felt really good to use. I wish that its sequel expanded on 2015's foundation instead of throwing it out for an inferior version of the pandemic games.

I've said this in the past but I guess this is the perfect place to say it again. CDPR is still Eurojank and not even good Eurojank.
They have never made a good game. What I mean is the actual "game" part of their games have always sucked and took a back seat to the story telling.
It's weird that people consider them like a RPG studio when they have never made a real RPG in any form. The deepest they go is branching story paths and collecting loot to craft shit. That's it.

Everyone knows the shitshow that CP2077 was on release (yes I played it on PC it was also a shitshow there, but not on the level of the consoles), but somehow people forget that Witcher 3 also took years before it was a "complete" game. Even if you are into their garbage, I would never trust them with any new title they release.
