save the wiiU?
not going to happen. nobody is going to spend hundreds of bucks to get a console for this game
Some kids can ask for it.

Don't worry, it'll come to X360 and PS3 next year. Lol at "saving" the Wii U.
But that is what is so great about WiiU threads - we all get to see what we want to see!
As for Lego City, I'll definitely rent it for the PS4.
How much does this game utilise the Gamepad, if this gets ported to PS3 at a later stage I may pick it up for my nephew.
Because, believe it or not, real gamers that are adults are also looking forward to a LEGO game. I know, right?! It looks so kiddie! There must be something wrong with them...Why are people worried about this game coming out alongside Monster Hunter? I'd say there are more children interested in a Lego game than there are gamers interested in MH, in the west anyway.

Hope there's a demo for Lego City, i'm kinda interested but would need to try it first.

Port begging is bannable as far as I know, but this seems to be stealth-port begging - how is this handled?

My kid won't shut up about this game. We're going to be fighting over the Wii U in March cos I gots to hunt some giant monsters. I see another wii u in my future.
the publisher probably thought it was a good idea at the time to make this exclusive? I doubt it will stay there - especially when they look at months of sales data and realise they won't even sell a million - the install base just isn't there.

Of course, because Nintendo ist the publisher.the publisher probably thought it was a good idea at the time to make this exclusive. I doubt it will stay there - especially when they look at months of sales data and realise they won't even sell a million - the install base just isn't there.
Man, Nintendo is probably kicking themselves for publishing a game on the Wii U. Don't they read NeoGAF?the publisher probably thought it was a good idea at the time to make this exclusive. And this is going to sell better than Monster Hunter in the west anyway.Whaaat? I didn't mean any disrespect if your an adult and want to play it, i'm just guessing the demographic for this game is younger than that of monster hunter and possibly even a larger market. So I don't see why people are worried about MH getting in the way of it's success.
I was previously debating whether or not this game would be worth the $60. I guess I'll wait for reviews/GAF opinions before I pounce, but 40-50 hours of gameplay would definitely help in convincing me to get it. The last trailer is what really got me interested in the game, it looks fantastic.
Tough competition in March for my money, with Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate and Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon both out next month.

I'm pretty sure this retails for $49.99, but yeah, right now I'm looking at all three of those games for March. Crazy.
You've really gotta start thinking through your arguments man.the publisher probably thought it was a good idea at the time to make this exclusive. I think this game could move some Wii U's but I don't see a single ad so far.

Of course, because Nintendo is the publisher.
You have no idea about the game. You're not interested. You don't have a Wii U. What's the point in posting here besides trolling? Far too obvious.

Guess all Vita games will jump ship soon because the installbase just isn' there. Its less than Wii U btw.
Seriously in EVERY Wii U exclusives thread we get "LOL will come to PS3/360, will buy then!" Its ANNOYING and always derails threads.
As far as Lego City goes, if Nintendo fully funded the project its not going anywhere. And Nintendos the publisher world wide so... just sayin....
It's actually $50! (and at Best Buy it qualifies for their $10 credit in points thing, so kind of like $40!)

I just checked Best Buy Canada, it is $49.99. Okay, there's no reason for me to not pick this up next month! I'm on board.
Edit: $10 credit? That's awesome. I'll look into that! Thanks.
no where did I mention it will come to PS3/360. if you read the metroid OM thread, even Nintendo was surprised that the game didn't sell, so sales are a concern for them. Be interesting to see how it goes but save the wiiU? That's more to do with Euroamer writing it up as bait click as someone else has posted.
In this climate of studios closing shop because of games bombing, I'm not saving anything that is too polarising. There are precedents where nintendo's co-publishes/publishes games that they didn't make. go look it up.
Implied?no where did I mention it will come to PS3/360.

Does the pre-order work for in-store as well or is it online only?
How'd you get the $10 credit? I don't see it (on Best Buy US)

It should be both, but sometimes there's a delay before they start accepting them in-store. They'd have the little cardboard cards hanging on the racks to pre-order the game.
