Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?

EXCLUSIVE: Amid a resurgence of video games-based TV series with the success of The Last Of Us and Fallout, another popular gaming title, Beyond: Two Souls, is getting a TV series adaptation. Elliot Page‘s Pageboy Productions has acquired the rights from video game developer Quantic Dream S.A.S. to develop a Beyond: Two Souls television series.

The game, which starred Page alongside Willem Dafoe, follows Jodie Holmes, a young woman with extraordinary supernatural abilities who becomes entangled in a web of government conspiracies and otherworldly forces. Connected to a mysterious entity named Aiden, Jodie must navigate both military exploitation and otherworldly threats while discovering the true nature of her powers.

The series adaptation, now in early development, is expected to explore the game’s non-linear narrative, following Jodie’s journey from government experiment to fugitive as she navigates her abilities and her connection to Aiden.

“Filming the game was one of the most challenging and fulfilling acting experiences of my career,” Page said. “The story’s rich narrative and emotional depth offer us a fantastic foundation. We want to create a unique vision of the characters and their journeys that resonates with fans and newcomers.”

This adaptation will honor the game’s legacy while inviting fresh perspectives,” Pageboy’s Head of Development and Production Matt Jordan Smith said. “Delving into questions of survival and how split-second decisions can alter not just our lives, but the lives of others, are key to telling the story.”

Beyond: Two Souls joins Pageboy Productions’ slate of upcoming projects. The company also just signed a development deal with Canada’s Bell Media.

“We are absolutely thrilled to collaborate again with Elliot Page on this project,” said Quantic Dream writer and director, David Cage. “I was blown away by his acting performance in the game, and I couldn’t think of anyone else to tell this story with the same passion on another medium. Beyond: Two Souls is a very special game for millions of players around the world who were moved by the story of Jodie and Aiden, and their journey in life and beyond. I know that Elliot has all the talent and instinct to make it something really unique on TV.”

That was my least favorite of all of Cage's games. I enjoyed most of his stuff, but Beyond Two Souls was just not very good. I don't remember it well enough to know what my specific gripes were, but I remember not feeling like the action was engaging at all.

Another film based on a SIE IP (well, I think it still is?) that SIE is not involved in.
Not sure why Page would want to do this, Beyond: Two Souls was legit terrible.

When she 1st transitioned I thought about making a Beyond Two Souls joke but I chilled.

With that being said the real life situation seems like the perfect Segway into a part 2 of the game with the soul ( Aiden) now taking over the body.

Yeah, the female -> male transition would be much harder than the reverse. I don't mean biologically, I mean socially. Young attractive female, you've got it made. Young, short physically unappealing guy, not so much.

Aren't these games already TV shows with button prompts? Anyway, this was the only QD game I couldn't get into playing. May be it is more tolerable watching

Vincent asserted that, since the experiment, she had more fully realized the benefits of being female and the disadvantages of being male, stating, "I really like being a woman. ... I like it more now because I think it's more of a privilege."[5]

Vincent also stated that she had gained more sympathy and understanding for men and the male condition: "Men are suffering. They have different problems than women have but they don't have it better. They need our sympathy, they need our love, and they need each other more than anything else. They need to be together."[5]

One night, he tried to knock himself out. Took his knuckles to his face and pounded over and over until bruises formed. For days after, he sat in a lawn chair on the porch, ashamed, his face sore. And then he heard a voice.

“You don’t have to feel this way.”

It was a small voice, barely discernible. But it kept echoing in his head. A way out.

“It was as if something in my brain turned around,” recalls Page, now 36. “The agonizing voice saying, ‘No, you’re not,’ ‘No, you can’t’ just switched and became very gentle and loving. ‘Oh, maybe I’m trans. Why don’t I explore that?’”

Within weeks, he’d scheduled a Zoom consultation with a doctor to discuss top surgery. The procedure was scheduled for November. A month later, he announced to fans on Instagram, who have known him since the release of “Juno” 13 years prior, that his name was Elliot.

Such a shame. She looked cute and was one of my favorite actresses.
Ever since she turned into Elliot Page, she looks depressed and suicidal.

Anyway, I liked Beyond, but not really interested in this project. Can't imagine it not being a Woke-fest.

Post in thread 'Ellen Page may sue Sony over video game nudity (Beyond: Two Souls)' https://www.neogaf.com/threads/elle...-nudity-beyond-two-souls.703537/post-87383302

The controversy between Ellen Page (now Elliot Page) and Quantic Dream over Beyond: Two Souls (2013) involved two key issues:

  1. Unauthorized Nude Model Leak – Quantic Dream created a full-body nude model of Page for a shower scene, even though no actual nudity was shown in the game. However, due to a camera hack on the PlayStation 3 debug mode, players were able to manipulate the game’s camera to view the uncensored model. This led to the images being leaked online, sparking outrage.
  2. Legal Dispute – Page was reportedly upset that Quantic Dream had created a nude character model without their consent. While Page did not pose nude for the scene, the detailed model still resembled them. Sony later took legal action to remove the leaked images, but the incident left a stain on the game's reputation.

This controversy fueled broader discussions about the ethics of digital likenesses and consent in the gaming industry.

🤔 this means David Cage is involved?
