Koei Tecmo and Akatsuki Games will release Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator for PC via Steam, iOS via App Store, and Android via Google Play in 2024 worldwide, the companies announced.

Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator first launched for iOS via App Store and Android via Google Play on September 23 in Japan.

There was Atelier Online - a gacha game released on iOS and Android. Servers were shut down last year though.

I'm curious what the structure of this game looks like. Production values seem high and I have nothing against a game being on Mobile platforms.

...however, typically Mobile games come with all the tiresome mechanics that plague the genre. Daily Stamina, Premium Currencies, Gacha rolls, FOMO Dailies, Limited Time Events. I already play one of those very lightly on the side, as much as I love Atelier, I really don't have the desire to juggle another.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce that the global version of “Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator” will stop all in-game purchases on January 27th, 2025, and cease all operations on March 28th, 2025.
Leading up to the end of service, we have some events lined up for you to enjoy until the very end.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to every one of you for being a part of our game, and we are truly sorry for this abrupt notice.

Once again, thank you for playing Atelier Resleriana.

Although this marks the end of a chapter, we are nonetheless still committed to creating and developing games with and for our players, and we hope to see you again in future “Atelier” works.

Oof, never got to play this one. The gacha market is like the live-service one in the west right now, oversaturated. Only the strong can survive long enough.

Nope.

From the in-game notes:
"Ever since the launch of our service, we have placed our players’ enjoyment as a top priority by constantly refining the game with diverse events and ongoing improvements. However, after assessing that we are unable to continue these pursuits at a satisfactory standard for our players, we have made the difficult decision to end our service."

They assessed it and determined that it sucked.

It was way too hardcore and tedious for a cutesy game. The jiggle physics were nice tho.
