At what framerate/resolution though? But congrats to the dozens (dozens!) of Series S owners that were waiting for this to go local co-op. MS did offer Larian $5M for BG3 gamepass. The studio declined. I'm looking forward to the sales numbers shooting through the roof.

So basically anything can run on series s but its just an absolutely unfair task to put this on dev teams. GG MS.

I hope MS funded the heads that worked on this AND assisted.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
What's the mod scene like in the game? Haven't downloaded it again since beating it once when it launched on Xbox.

Does it have the traditional Fallout/Skyrim style 'cheat' mods? Things to always roll the dice in your favor etc, that's the kind of thing that'll get me to replay it for other endings.

Same games running on steam deck and Rog right?
You think those are officially supported? Some games run like crap on them but even those handhelds have more RAM than Series S.

Good on them for continuing to work on this and getting it across the line finally.

I'm surprised they are even working on the game at all. Thought they said goodbye after the last update (or I'm misremembering it).
I thought so too, but they recently announced a massive new patch bringing in photo mode, a bunch of new subclasses and finally cross play. I'm holding out on this update for my second play through.

So how many great devs needs to work to close the "Series S is holding back the gen" argument?

this controller design makes me angry...
because if you switched the Dpad and Stick positions it would actually make sense.

that way you could use the stick with both thumbs, which would be great for shooters.
most N64 shooters let you aim with the stick and move with the Dpad, basically like modern shooter controls.

I mean none now. Developers are just skipping Xbox platform if the Series S is a problem for their game. It's Microsoft who's reaching out and doing the work to make stuff like BG3 happen.

These developers managed to get Divinity II running extremely well on the Nintendo Switch. Larian definitely aren’t the problem here. They aren’t lazy. They do know how to optimise.

The switch conversion wasn't in-house, it was done by Blitworks

Obviously they aren't lazy because they got split screen to work.

First I’ve seen, thanks for the info - the DF analysis never mentioned that it wasn’t handled in-house and I’ve never seen it mentioned online either until now.

Maybe Larian are scrubs after all! :messenger_grinning_sweat:

Yeah that last patch with photo mode was the one I assumed to be the final one. Guess not...

Puts is perspective what that Wukong developer said, saying they would 10 more years of experience to port to the series console. Maybe much less than that.

Anyway, in the end, series s won. We lost nothing.
