Today, Bethesda Game Studios revealed via its social networks that it has a lot of exciting things planned for the game this year.

The space RPG's profile avoided providing any information about this, but encouraged players with its positive response and reminded them that the team is continuing to work hard on the game.

We know you're eager for an update, and we truly appreciate your passion for Starfield. The team has been hard at work, and while we're not ready to share specific details just yet, we have a lot of exciting things planned for the game this year that we can't wait to talk about when the time is right. We’re always listening and taking your feedback to heart. Thanks for being part of this journey with us.

TES VI and FO5 are probably many years away. Of their three main franchises Starfield is easily the least played on Steam. It's behind spinoff ESO FO76. Still, someday I'll be willing to buy Starfield when it's cheap cheap. It's 2 years in September

This is going to release on PS5 and Bethesda may finally realize, Xbox's playerbase isn't the problem with sales. Starfield is the problem with sales.

Going by FH 5 they will sell this for 70 bucks years later. Obviously people ain't happy to pay fullprice for late mediocre games.

I don't think the game sold badly per se, the main problem is how much it disappointed people which will be felt in the sales of whatever they release next.

We already know they're planning the ability to create your own space station. I hope we get battleship tier ships that have a huge hanger for your other ships inside and are too big to land.

Starborn expansion name already leaked as well.

The game is the definition of mid, but I actually think it will sell just fine on PS. Not set the world on fire, but MS will be happy with the result.

The really funny thing is I'll probably pick it up on sale at some point, just to see it on the Pro. Its a weird thing, despite having played it and kind of bouncing off it I still want it to work. The idea of Starfield is just so attractive to me I forget all about writing and systems, until I pick it up again.

That's nice, I'm not sure that anybody has any plans to play Starfield this year though. I don't even think it will sell that well on PS5 tbh.

Bethesda have said previously they wanted to support Starfield for a lot longer than Skyrim. I'm curious what that kind of support actually looks like long term.
