According to our information, the PlayStation Portal remote player will soon be released in a black color. The player is currently only available in white. It also benefited from a limited edition on the occasion of the brand's 30th anniversary.

We can also see that the first quantities available at release will be limited. This could lead to a stock shortage from the pre-order phase, as was observed during the launch of the first PS Portal in white. The announcement and release dates remain unknown to us, however.

The new color of the PlayStation Portal will be available in Europe, North America and other regions of the world. In terms of price, it will correspond exactly to that of the white version of the remote player. To summarize, here are the expected prices for this new edition of the PlayStation Portal:

• PlayStation Portal Remote Player – Black : €219.99 / GBP 199.99 / USD 199.99.

Other hardware and accessories seem to be in the works at Sony for a very soon release. We will probably come back to it when we have gathered enough 100% verified information on our side.

How about one with paddles like the Edge controller.... the portal is so limited for me, because I game exclusively with pro controllers; I can't really hop between systems to play my games without annoying controller issues. I really only use portal for slow, strategy games. Honestly even then it's still annoying not having paddles or the trigger locks.

You know what's shitty ?
I've seen PS5 Pro's go as low as 730 Euros instead of 800, PSVR 2 has had a 200 Euro price cut until January but when it comes to the Portal, it's still 200-220 Euros everywhere...

Of course I had to sell it not even 1 month before Soony® actually fixed the damned stutter...
At that point, I didn't think that Sony would ever fix it (XH90 anyone?), after all, it only took them 1 year !

I want one, but, there's just no way I'm paying 220 Euros again since I'll have to pay another 50-60 Euros on top of that for a screen protector, silicone skin, carrying case and thumb grips...
