Man, August and September sure have been a bit shit on GP lately. PC definitely 2 quality drops. I didn't love the 1st Wargroove but I'll try the 2nd. Didn't even realize it was coming out.

There's no way they're just doing 1 console game. Probably shadow dropping some stuff at TGS if I had to guess.

Looks like they didn't list Overwatch 2 as a game, and it's just perks. Good. Stop putting f2p shit on there like it's a drop. They did it right here. Same with the Persona expansion.

Normally when there is an event, new ones are announced for Gamepass. In fact, in the announcement of the TGS stream itself, it is said that there will be surprises that will come to Gamepass.

As I always say, with Gamepass it is always better to wait until the end of the month to evaluate how it went. And the reality is that it has been fantastic for months and months and a good end of the year is already assured with Stalker 2, MFS2024, COD, Indiana Jones etc.

They got ABK and yet are like a slug with adding the games. I don't expect a CoD every month (on the other hand why not) but some more for console? This is not great.

That's true. But would they really announce and drop a lot more games during TGS that late in the month? I'd like it, but......

They've done drops at TGS multiple times in the past.
2021 - Scarlet Nexus, AI Somnium Files
2022 - Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Danganronpa V3, Ni No Kuni, Fuga Melodies of Steel
2023 - Like a Dragaon Man Who Erased His Name. Like a Dragon Ishin. Ace Attorney Trilogy.

Frostpunk 1 was great. If I find the time I´ll definitely jump on GP for a month to play the sequel.

Normally the dates have not been a problem. Shadow drops have been common and would explain such an anemic number of announcements this second half of the month.
Announcing a single game for console GP is very far from what is normal (4-5 games every 15 days)

We will see.

What time is it?
Man, August and September sure have been a bit shit on GP lately.

Longer than that but these past months have been brutal. My GPU expires at the beginning of October and I've mostly talked myself into letting lapse and these last few months have done nothing to change my thought process.

But then there's still the oddly slow ABK games rollout. At this rate we still won't all CoD on it by next year, lol. And not only CoD, there's more they can add.
IMO they are purposely holding COD back. They probably want everyone on the latest COD and spending money on microtransactions.

July was sick for me. August and September were some of the worst months ever, but I guess we'll see what's at TGS. October (CoD), November (Stalker 2) and December (Indiana Jones), February (Avowed) all have at least 1 big game. Unclear what else they're doing. We know there's some big stuff they're signing for 2025 still so it's not like GP is dead: Mixtape, Clair Obscur, Replaced, Atomfall, Doom, South of Midnight, Citizen Sleeper 2, Descenders 2, Sniper Elite.

They definitely need to have less months like the last two, and pick it up a bit.

Don't worry, it will be amazing after October 10th when my subscription expires. haha

Yeah, rough time to cancel really. Call of Duty ($70), Stalker 2 ($70), Indiana Jones ($70), Avowed ($70). 🤷‍♂️ Definitely getting your money's worth even if it's literally just these alone.

Stalker 2 is the tough of that list but there is always something right around the corner.

Finished the prologue in Wargroove 2. Kind of off putting for the 1st 10 min or so, then it clicks. Basically fantasy Advance Wars. Fun, and lots of opportunities for strategy right away. I'll probably be buying this.

Looking alright here for a few months

Alters late November? Hell yeah.

wtf kind of pc do you need to run frost punk 2 at decent fps?

My 3080 needs dlss performance and a mix of medium and high settings in 4k to be around 56-60fps.

wtf?!

I really liked Wargroove 1 but couldn't finish 2. I just didn't like the mission designs as much. The insufferable new characters with somehow even worse dialog didn't help either. Play it on gamepass but brace yourself.

Looks like Payday 2 got added again. September got 5 additional games after the 1st announcement. Weird.
