I see some PS fans are a bit angry or disappointed by the fact that Sony is releasing more and more games on PC. Maybe they feel a little betrayed, or that the games aren't that special anymore, and I understand that. But I think it's important to look at the big picture and realize this is beneficial to everyone, even console gamers.
When a game is ported to PC the preservation of such game increases dramatically. It's also the only platform that gets close to practically guaranteeing backwards compatibility for ever, and that such game will scale over time, looking and running better and better as new hardware enters the market. It will never be forgotten, or left to the will of getting patched by the publisher.
Right now I want to play the Arkham Trilogy, Crash Trilogy and RDR2 at 4K 60 fps on my 5 Pro, yet I can't, even though the machine is more than capable to do so. Why? Because they haven't received a simple patch, and their publishers don't show a bit of interest in releasing it, probably because they will gain little to no additional money from it. Meanwhile on PC those games are already pushing either 8K or extremely high frame rates on enthusiast builds, and over time that will only get better and more accessible. No one needs to beg for a patch.
As a TLOU fan, I was so happy when they announced Part II will be released on PC. This essentially means I will always be able to play the game, and that in the future I will be able to do so at settings beyond what PS5 Pro gave me if I want to and I'm willing to pay for it.
The same goes for Xbox games. Even if you don't want to build a PC right now, it's good for you that the option is available to build one someday in the future, with your favorite games looking and running better than ever.
If you really love a game, you'll want it on as many platforms as possible.
