You're thinking of this game:So is it gonna be a Korean grind fest or what
Clicked thinking there was a downloadable demo for the game.

I disagree. Must have been a snooze fest from the beginning as you seem to have slept through the announcementThis game has gone from a promising MMO to a completely snooze fest.

It is still available to play if you're interested.

Q: With the change from a traditional MMORPG, does that mean that Crimson Desert is no longer considered a massive multiplayer online (MMO) title in terms of genre?
A: It is not a traditional MMORPG, but rather an open world action-adventure game based on a narrative-focused single player campaign. There is also a multiplayer mode, and player’s will find that the single player and multiplayer experiences are both connected. Crimson Desert was previously introduced as an MMORPG, but the genre has changed in order to better express the narrative, story, and action we are striving for.
This is the next part:I'm not thinking of BDO. The game was originally revealed as an MMO. This was taken from a developer interview in 2021, 1-2 years after it was revealed.

Q: It was mentioned that it is optional to engage in the multiplayer mode. Does that mean that there is no multiplayer-exclusive content in Crimson Desert?
A: There won’t be exclusively multiplayer content. Gameplay will be based on single player play that is organically linked to the game’s multiplayer mode. This makes it possible for players to play the game in a style of their choosing.
Whoa. My apologies. I had no idea.I'm not thinking of BDO. The game was originally revealed as an MMO. This was taken from a developer interview in 2021, 1-2 years after it was revealed.

This is the next part:
It seems you might have fallen for either deceptive wording or a mistranslation to the above question. As far as I've known this game to exist, it was always a non-MMO experience. Now we can debate on whether or not it was supposed to have co-op multiplayer, but that doesn't qualify under "MMO".

Oh. But I just apologized! I don’t know how to feel anymore.
It's not that serious lol.
That's TOO good to be true
I refuse to believe it until it's on my machine, it's not happening
Do not believe the hype
And the bustling with life city holy shit
Which SNL is this from?
Same thing happened with Black Myth Wukong, Stellar Blade, etc.Used to think this game is like a lot of other Korean game projects that have a fancy teaser but would never actually come out.
Still can't believe it's actually happening, looks so freaking good! The Korean devs are killing !
Meanwhile there are people out here getting giddy of other games showing clunky looking fighting and chicken kicking...Same thing happened with Black Myth Wukong, Stellar Blade, etc.
These Asian devs are showing the world how it's done.
This is impressive, but you know what we still don't have? I remember being naive and innocent. I was REALLY optimistic about the PS3. When the first Resident Evil 5 gameplay vids, I was very disappointed that the zombies did not have realistic bullet damage when shot. Tattering the shirt in the exact location, body damage etc. Here we are 20 years later, and I don't think there's a game doing what I imagined RE5 should do then. Some come close, but man I thought we'd be a lot further ahead by now with real time deformation and physics effects. It's just particles and god rays still but turned up to 11.
This game game looks really good, but GTA VI is going to mop the floor with literally any other title releasing. They could charge $100 and still make back the cost of the game in one day.well this is impressive, GTA6 cooked even before launch.
rockstar better get off their high horses and release more info, crimson dessert may over shadow you in the open world game play loop
sadly this is true. people are creatures of habits. sees GTA, buys GTA, because. This game game looks really good, but GTA VI is going to mop the floor with literally any other title releasing. They could charge $100 and still make back the cost of the game in one day.
Looks interesting. Like all these Korean games, it is a copy of the mechanics of all the current successful games, with a great artistic section, but also hyperbolic and chaotic. It is curious but in their way of creating products, they seem more Chinese than Japanese.
Seriously, at this point, will someone miss out if they stop buying western action games/RPGs anymore? The only thing that the west still have going for themselves are First Person Shooters and Real-Time Strategy games.
