The limit is probably way beyond 10 billion, since they recently bought Nuance for 20 billion, and previously LinkedIn for 26 billion.

I have insider knowledge on this (I won’t verify) and afaik, there were never such talks or even a desire to sell on part of Discord.

This sounds to me like a stock manipulation ploy. The press is trash, nothing but a propaganda arm. I wonder how many times I was taken for a ride when I was a kid following these news.

Never even knew why MS were in talks with Discord. MS teams is effectively the same thing as Slack and Discord that they've been very successful with so far. Maybe it was a tech or patent grab?

If Discord goes public, you can bet that Microsoft WILL acquire a majority participation in stocks. Once they want a technology, they simply don't let it go that easily. Remember Mosaic, Windows 1.0, Microsoft Edge, etc. etc. etc.
