[Weekly software and hardware sales figures] "Super Mario Party Jamboree" tops the charts for the 10th time! New releases include the open-world action RPG "Kingdom Come: Deliverance II" in the top 10 [2/3-2/9]

Sales ranking announced by Famitsu. This time we bring you a summary of the estimated weekly sales figures for game software and hardware from February 3rd to February 9th, 2025 in Japan.

Super Mario Party Jamboree, which allows you to control characters from the Super Mario series and play over 110 different mini-games is doing well. It sold 17,355 units this week taking the top spot for the 10th time and the first time in 4 weeks.

Coming in at number 4 is the open-world action RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance II which is making its debut. This is the sequel to the title released in 2018, and is set in 15th-century medieval Europe, telling the story of a young blacksmith who transforms into a warrior.

According to the manufacturer the total number of unitssold for this title exceeded 1 million in just one day after its release, so it's a title that will be interesting to see how it sells in the future. Another title worth noting is It Takes Two which rose from 18th place last week to the top 10.

This is an action adventure game that won Game of the Year at the 2021 "The Game Awards" and the latest game from the studio that produced it, Split Fiction is scheduled to be released on March 6, 2025. It's possible that many users learned about this game through news related to Split Fiction and purchased it.

I always mix up the Ps5 DE and Ps5 Pro numbers when I skim these threads. In my head it feels like they should be switched.

Xbox sales declining while ps5 increases. Not really surprising. At least ps5 is trending in the right direction despite the exorbirant price.

No PS5 Pro MH bundle is literally INSANE!

I guess they feel like anyone who wants the Pro version is willing to pay the delta for it, but I think it's shortsighted.

Anyone who buys a Pro is likely to buy more games as a result, especially if they already have a PC or plan on getting a Switch 2.

DQIII eventualky of the top 10 after a good run, but Jamboree continues to be a monster (and deservedly so).

After the disappointing DW9, Origins looks to have much better word of mouth and legs.

And speaking of legs, look at It Takes Two! It launched with less than 4,000 sales and is now over 120,000. Crazy.

PS5 Pro continues to have a great ratio which will be blunted by the MHW bundles. Crazy Sony didn't do a Pro bundle... what a shame.
Maybe the standard model has better margins, so that makes throwing in a free game easier.

I wouldn't really pay much attention to weekly fluctuations. They don't tell us that much.

Was there a sale on some Nintendo games? Lots if them jumped back into the top 30.

There's no way that's true. I think they just don't want to put PS5 Pro in promotions because it just launched. They'll be silly if they don't do a GTA6 bundle though...

It could also be that these bundles are aimed at people who are more price sensitive (since they would care more about getting a free game).

But yes they might wait a year or so before doing Pro bundles, as the early adopters will buy a Pro anyway.

It's interesting because Microsoft discounted the price of the XSX in Japan, likely to get some Monster Hunter sales. It's currently going for 440 USD on Amazon.

The Base PS5 standard is going for 520. The MHW bundle is going for 525.
