With several massive IPs under its belt, Warner Bros. doesn’t always utilize its catalog well. With repeated cancellations and poor releases, the company has suffered major losses.

Insider Jason Schreier recently went through all the scrapped Warner Bros. projects in the last decade. Among them was a canceled Arkham Knight sequel that WB Games Montreal was developing.



According to Jason Schreier, the canceled Batman game was focused on Damian Wayne and suggested a Batman Beyond game. The game was ultimately canceled in favor of Gotham Knights in 2017.

Overall, the insider mentioned a whopping 7 projects scrapped just within the past decade. They include titles like Gotham Knight 1.5, Project Legacy, Arkham Knight Sequel, WB Games Montreal’s Suicide Squad, Constantine title, and a Flash game.

Despite that, the Arkham Knight sequel may still see the light of the day. Recent reports have emerged suggesting a new Batman Beyond game on the horizon, the revival of the same mentioned Arkham Knight sequel.

Additionally, the new Batman Beyond game is suggested to be a trilogy exclusive to PlayStation and PC.

They literally stopped doing massive deals aftet the 360 era essentially and they let their Japanese support crater after the 360 era as well. Go fund some third party exclusives and make it seem like you care, because no one gives a crap about gamepass and no one is going to buy your next hardware solely for gamepass. Greenlight Batman Beyond game that fans want hot off the heels of a popular well received trilogy.

Cancel said project that would've brought guaranteed money in favour of the new gaas fad.

Completely kill the recognized studio with business decisions based on a fad that makes most of the original team pack up and leave.

10 years later after those gaas projects completely crash and burn and destroy what's left of the studio's reputation go back to the original Batman Beyond game that was planned before the crash and burn.

They'd rather buy the cow than the milk. It's a strategy for sure. I'm not sure how well it's working out for them but they're sticking to it!

Microsoft's trajectory is so far removed from what you're asking for at this point.
