Leaked Avengers: Doomsday concept art

A concept artist just nuked his career by leaking Marvel concept art:

The Doomsday art shows God Emperor Doom with Sue Storm as his wife. Just as it was in Hickman’s Secret Wars:

Excellent art work. Looks promising.

Oh, and the art work has already been yanked off the net. That raised the likelihood that the leak was real.

So not this? Dissapointment immense

Whenever I heard of 'Secret Wars' this was all I could think about. I havent read any of the comics, never have never will.

-wow, I’m honestly surprised they’re following up on White Vison. I kind of feel with Wanda (presumably) dead, and this Vison lacking the history with the Avengers compared to regular Vison, they would kind of quietly forget about him, or quickly resolve it.

Anyway, as GOTG 3’s credits promised, Star-Lord has returned, but likely on his own without the rest of the Guardians.

(second picture)

-not much to say, pretty cool looking.

(third picture)

-I’m not sure who the two are between Cassie Lang (center) and Kamala Khan (right). The person to the immediate left of Kamala looks vaguely familiar, but I don’t recognize the one in the green outfit at all.

(fourth/fifth picture)

-it would be cool if this is the T’Challa from the Fantastic Four’s universe as they have some history together in the comics, Black Panther in fact debuted in a FF issue

(sixth picture)

-could this be Bob from Thunderbolts? (I’ll leave it at that in case some non-readers don’t know what’s significant about Bob) The hairstyle is similar from what we saw he has in the Thunderbolts trailer.

So introduce F4 as a happy family and then immediately have her off with Doom in the next film? Seems too quickly paced.

From what I understand:

In the comics, it’s a Sue Richards with an altered history with Victor that leads to them getting married instead of her and Reed, so for the movie it’s likely not the original Sue we’re looking at in this particular concept art.

Wait, hold the fuck up! I just noticed someone in the very right of the third picture!

To the right of Kamala! The little green guy! That’s Doop!

Holy shit, are we getting a X-Statix movie at some point?!

I need a Wolverine and Doop scene(s).

There’s a Vision series on Disney+ early next year. One if the pieces of concept art on the page was Jocasta from that.

The BP image isn’t T’Challa. The file name said it was T’Chanda, the Panther during WWII.

Seeing those leaked art makes me seriously excited. Looks like they are going all out and finally starting to use all the IPs they got back from Fox when they bought the company. I just wish it was more than two films

Why would these pics be considered leaks or secret info? Maybe the guy just likes drawing random Marvel pics of superheroes. Doesnt mean it means a new movie plot or anything (?).

Do you not know what OFFICIAL concept art is? It was commissioned by the studio to flesh out story boards and see how things might look on screen.

Why would you do this to your career. I don’t know any of these stories.
Because media people are often loud and looking for attention. Spill the beans on some early game footage, some game info on reddit, movie stuff etc... The guy probably loves the attention and increase in followers.

Or he's a disgruntled guy on his way out and wants to sabotage the company.

Well, not the most well thought out plan on his part then.

Johnson: “I’m sick of this job, how can I get back at my boss? I know, I’ll let fans see these awesome-looking concept art images when they weren’t supposed to be shown them yet!”
Boss Man: “Hey, Johnson! I still have to fire you for it, but fans are loving these images! You’re fired, but thanks anyway!”

This stuff all seems to be HEAVILY reliant on F4 being AMAZING. Nu-cap Sam aint gonna carry this. Doubt Thunderbolts will either. So at this point, barring just bringing back all the folks from 2019, it's all on F4 to sell the emotional stakes and RDJ to be a "not Tony" that still hits like Tony and puts asses in seats.

They must be planning on bringing in a lot of the Fox era folks to do a DP3 remix because their current roster has very little juice. Cage as Ghost Rider, Berry as Storm, Hardy with Venom wouldn't surprise me because even if I think it's crap, those flicks sell. It's gonna be a ridiculous circus.

Absolutely, which is why I have been waiting for this "Secret Wars" saga to come to fruition. Hoping that it would be like this Spiderman Arc.

But it will probably be some hokey pokey multiverse bs

Well, the villain is Dr. Doom, so regardless of one’s personal feelings about Sam, Thunderbolts, etc., it was always going to focus heavily on the FF for this film once they decided to switch from Kang to Doom.

The multiversal elements in terms of characters appearing won’t be as heavy in this film most likely, they’ll save that for Secret Wars.

Also, their roster has no juice? I’m sure you’ll be dismissive of some of these, but they have within the Sacred Timeline itself: Thor, Hulk, Hawkeye (Clint and Kate), Sam/Cap, Bucky, Star-Lord, Ant-man, Wasp, Spider-man, Dr. Strange, Shuri/BP, Captain Marvel, Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel, She Hulk, Shang-Chi, Daredevil, etc. There will clearly be at least some characters that most particular fans can care about.

Also, Cage’s Ghost Rider films did NOT sell that well (the first film only doubled its budget, and the second did slightly better but only due to its budget being lowered a LOT). If they were to bring back his version of Johnny, it would be due to nostalgia and the fact we’re in a Cage comeback era, not because his GR movies did well at all. The X-men films (generally) and the Venom movies (even the third) on the other hand all did do very well financially.

Are all those folks gonna be on board though? That's a LOT of paychecks. I guess most of the MCU second tier actors haven't really hit it big outside so they should be available and most if them will probably have 1-2 scenes anyway, so a glorified cameo, but it's been YEARS for some of them since an on screen appearance, not so sure the old roster is still in play.

Most of them clearly are returning in Doomsday based on the concept art shown. They’ve only confirmed one actor won’t be seen until Secret Wars, which is:

Dr. Strange. Likely he’ll play some key role in the multiversal element, given where we last saw him meeting with Clea, plus given Dr. Doom is in the comics the second strongest sorcerer after Strange (but more powerful due to the aid of his technology, minions, and such) they definitely won’t miss the opportunity for a magical showdown between the two.

Yeah, doesn't make sense, Her linkedIn profile says she's been with Marvel for 5 years so she clearly would know better. Why ever post these on your personal ArtStation page? It makes no sense, something is missing. Maybe this stuff all got scrapped and she mistakenly took that to mean it was fair game to put out there, but again how dumb can you be, especially at such a senior level. Maybe she was pissed and wanted to go out with a bang..

Considering the last Marvel movies were garbage it’s hard to get excited. They really have to prove themselves again.

McFeely and the Russos are doing these two movies (Doomsday and Secret Wars)... They did the first 3 Captain America movies, Infinity War and Endgame. I'm pretty sure they can pull it off.

Without the original crew this thing is going to be Star Wars shitquels level of bad. No Cap, No Iron Man no deal. The only way I see this being massive is if RDJ plays Doom and Iron Man. No one cares about Pedro Pascal he comes across like a used car salesman.

The Last of Us averaged about 32 million viewers per episode.

Needless to say, I don’t think the general public agrees with your assessment of Pascal.

I'm willing to give F4 the benefit of the doubt. Looks like marvel is smart and will utilize Pratt, as one of their only charismatic superstar actors left, as the anchor. I'm sure Hemsworth will do alot of heavy lifting as well. It sure isn't gonna be Sam, Shang-Chi, the girl Iron-man, lady black panther, or the rest of that lot. Girl Hawkeye's actress has decent chops, taking one of these massive showdowns from the POV of essentially a normal human might be interesting, though they could do that with Sam until they loaded him down with wakandan magic tech.

Problem is that I don't much care if most of the new roster dies. The relationships I was vested in have mostly run their course, barring significant time spent trying to rekindle Starlord and Gamora. So they can't build tension by threatening anyone other than Thor, maybe Bucky, or Spidey I guess. And are they really gonna bump off the last of their A-team until they KNOW one of the newer actors has hit it with the audience? Spidey is probably the only character they can easily recast as we have seen a lot of them. But Thor, Starlord, Stark, Cap, those were the ACTORS making them great so transitioning to a new actor has a higher bar, I think.

F4 looks promising but Pedro doesn't have the charisma of RDJ. I know RDJ will be in the films but people want him as Ironman more so than Doom

Those were video game nerds. Car salesman can't carry an Avengers film. I don't care honestly, I'll watch if they're good cool if they suck life goes on. Now don't get all worked up and go into super defensive mode because I said something slightly less than positive about a movie

The first game sold over 20 million, so I’m afraid the numbers are in my favor. That’s a cool additional 12 million people tuning in who hadn’t played the game.

Also, so you claim you don’t care, you say, “I’ll watch if they’re good”, but you flat out said the movie was going to be bad in your prior post. You can’t have it both ways, you’ve either already made up your mind about the film, or you’d watch it with an open mind.

Oh sure, that’s one way to spin it, me being “defensive”. Another way is to say people are just being ridiculous, acting as if RDJ and Evans carried the entire MCU when plenty of MCU films without them in it have done well in the box office. Hell, Guardians of the Galaxy 1 outgrossed Cap: Winter Soldier that same year they both released.

You can say something less than positive, doesn’t mean it makes much sense.

Not impossible but that seems like an extremely amateurish move, especially for someone holding a senior-level position. I get that they would want to use artstation as their personal online repository, but why even chance such a career-damaging move just for convenience? I mean I guess it is entirely possible that she just screwed up. I'll have to ask my concept artist friends about this one..
