Does the 65" have any pros over the 77" on any regard? (latency, brightness, etc).
I've found the 77" model for less than 2k in a black friday sale, and I'm considering it.

Thanks!

Pros of 77”

-Bigger screen ~40% larger than 65”

Cons of 77”

-Pixel density- 77” will have larger pixels.

-How far to you sit, a 77” could be too big based on distance.

-Cost more than 65”

What pros does the G4 have over the C4?

G series have much higher brightness than the C and B series. Bu you can expect them to be a good bit higher in cost.

Best bang for your buck gaming oled tv are the Samsung s90c/d series for gaming as the brightness level is close to G series but you are paying C series cost. Main hit against it is it doesn’t support Dolby Vision but that doesn’t really matter too much for gaming IMO.

Or you could buy a brick of C4 and blow up something

I got a 65" a few weeks ago and I'm enjoying it a lot. I'm coming from a 55" C1 and while it's not as drastic change as jumping to OLED for the first time, there is definitely an improvement.

IMO you can't go wrong with either. If you already have a sound system go bigger. If you don't, I'd say get the 65" and put the rest of the money towards a sound system, it's well worth it.

By the way, I got two (one for my brother and one for me) and neither has shown green tint when watching off-axis.

I had the same debate couple of months before. Went with 65'' G4.

While I am absolutely happy with the performance, I am actually more and more curious that I should probably grab 77'' G4 instead, once you go big, you can never go back.

I am kind of thinking of moving my C3 to the living room to replace an old regular LED TV. That way I can justify a new 77” LG or Samsung for the TV/Game room, lol.

Man, you can get C4/S90D for not crazy amount of money now days. And it’s like $1,500 jump to G4 level.

Get the 77 for sure, maybe 83 if you can squeeze it. Had a 65 inch before. It's just too small for a large living room. Maybe more suitable for a small living room or a large bedroom.

Went from a 65” CX to a 65” G4 this year. Really not a huge upgrade in my opinion. I thought my previous jump from a B7 to CX was more drastic.

I just bought Samsung S95D. I had the option between that LG C4 vs S95D and went with S95D, definitely better bang for the buck. C4 was around $200 dollars more which I have no idea why since I know it's a tier lower compared to the S95D.

Did you disable eco mode / energy saving? That cannot be right. I purchased a G4 and I own a G3 as well. The G4 is noticeably brighter due to the higher APL. So I cannot imagine that the difference between cx and G4 is small at all.

go as big as the room allows
TVs feel like they get smaller over time

had a 77" for years
It never occured to me but you're right.
I had a 55" C7 for years and just upgraded for a 55" C4 few weeks ago.
I could have put 500$ more to get a 65".
Told myself it would be to big. But when the C4 arrived it appeared almost smaller than my old C7 i had put in its package the night before. There was no wow factor.
If you can buy bigger just do it.

Also the C4 stand look so cheap compared to the old C7 stand. The TV looks like an oversized pc monitor with that stand.
