Nice top 5, close platform split for DQH.
Don't see it having long legs on PS4, and low impact on HW in medium/long term.
Nice week for the Vita too.

Good start really for DQH, PS4 numbers seems even more impressive to me.

3DS still selling quite well of course, portable gaming is best gaming and Japan knows it :p

PS4 has somehow managed to stay just above the line of death with hardly any appealing exclusive games and cross-gen titles.

Quite amazing actually.

I do t think Xenoblade won't do a damn thing for Wii U and that is really sad :(

PS4 numbers are really good and 3DS is good too! Vita is holding on for dear life!

At 255,292 according to Famitsu, it looks like it. The only game that comes close is MGS V: Ground Zeroes at 170,441.

The sole exception is Knack at 400,806, but that was bundled with hardware at launch so it doesn't count.

Xenoblade will help but it may just start some momentum that Nintendo needs to carry for the rest of the year.

E3 and beyond is the best bet. There just isn't enough going on during the first half of the year.

PS4 numbers this week are good, but not fantastic, given the relevance of the release.

However, it should be said that PS4 sales have been higher than usual in the past few weeks, so it's possible the boost got spread across many weeks, instead of being concentrated in only one, singular week.

As I said in the other thread, holy crap at those DQ sales. SE must be very happy with that. Also nice bump in PS4 numbers for gamers picking up the next gen version of DQ.

Cross-gen big titles always help new console a lot. I don't know why people keep mentioning exclusive. .

"Why I need to buy a PS4 since I have a PS3" is not what consumer would think, people always want new toys.

It's one of the biggest franchises in Japan. If a DQ game couldn't make the PS4 sell nothing would have done it.

Was hoping to see God Eater 2 as #3 but #4 still good.

Though I can't tell if it's selling well or just mediocre.

Nice PS4 sales. Combined with the bundle boost in Dec and DQ is probably responsible for 100k+ PS4 sales!

Great bump for PS4, that means to be alive, imho, for an home console in Japan.
Good hold for 3DS and Vita.
