Came across this and thought it was worth sharing, supposedly the source is a semi-legit (?) insider:
What's his track record?
Prob confirms that MS bought Capcom, WB Games and Sega. It's all making sense now.
Microsoft calls their actual AAA games, "AAAA games", who knows what they actually consider AAA.
Games take too long to make for this to actually happen. They probably just changed what AAA means for Microsoft and are releasing Microsoft studio games every month for a while.
I've said it before, I think Xbox's upcoming generation is going to be a return to the halcyon days of the 360. I'm 50/50 about ditching PC and going for both consoles, just waiting for something big to push me to do it. It's an interesting scenario, it was the Xbox 360 that caused me to ditch my PC in 2006 and then it was 12 years til I got another.![]()
That's only six a year, if you take the games that have been in the works for awhile...An AAA game every other month? I am sorry, that just sounds like fantasy land. Never heard of this guy and sounds rather silly and unrealistic.
I'm thinking of ditching PC too. I mean, I have a pretty damn powerful PC but not sure if I want to spend any more money upgrading it. I'm thinking of buying both a PS5 + XSX with the XSX being my main console.
The XSX would be more powerful than the GPU I have in my PC right now and replacing it with a new Nvidia card that offers a decent amount of performance improvement is likely going to cost about the same as it would to get both a PS5 + XSX anyway.
That's only six a year, if you take the games that have been in the works for awhile...
Halo Infinite, Fable Reboot, Forza Horizon, Hellblade 2 and add two more unannounced tiles, then it's certainly not impossible. Can they maintain it? Well, they haven't been able to do it in recent years, let's see how much different the Spencer era will be.
It's the same with me, I'd need a new CPU, a new SSD, a new GPU and possibly a new power supply - in effect a whole new PC. So buying both consoles still works out cheaper, or at least the same price and they will last me six years!
Microsoft dosen't call their games AAAA games. What are you smoking?
Apparently, nothing as good as Xbox execs.

What can we realistically expect from a new Xbox 'AAAA' studio?
Recently, Microsoft posted (then deleted) a job listing for a manager of a new Santa Monica-based "AAAA" game studio, but what can we realistically expect?www.windowscentral.com

Basically Microsoft is going the Netflix route with Xbox.
Is 6 AAA exclusive games a year really that hard to imagine? I feel PlayStation and Nintendo pretty much achieve that already.
Those are all referring to the Initiative...
Not all Netflix shows are not AAA quality though (if there was such a thing in the world of TV shows).
As long as they are releasing high quality exclusive content on gamepass every month it doesn't matter whether its AAA, AA or indie.
This obsession with AAA needs to end. Quality is important, not the amount of money that was thrown at the project.
Ok? And? That makes it any less stupid? Are they admitting 343 and other studios are a full level lower quality?

Well instead of using your feelings, try using your brain. Do the research.
Bro just drop it, you're making yourself look like an idiot.
6 games, 3 years development time = 18 studios
6 games, 4 years development time = 24 studios
They need to have between 18 and 24 studios (AAA, the AA don't count).
