Palworld studio Pocketpair is giving its employees the day off on Friday, so they can play Monster Hunter Wilds

The studio’s official X account shared a memo which is being sent to staff, informing them that Friday will be a holiday day.

While it doesn’t explicitly confirm that the day off is for the release of Monster Hunter Wilds, the memo jokes that some employees have been suggesting in advance that they might be sick on Friday, so they can buy and play the game.

“Regarding February 28th, we have received a series of mysterious reports from many employees that they may feel unwell tomorrow, so the company has decided to institute a special holiday,” the memo says.

Smart move, why pay employees specifically to play Wilds when you know they’ll be doing it all day on the job anyway? My company isn’t that clever, but hey, I won’t complain about getting paid for their oversight.
