Netflix has acquired exclusive U.S. rights to British gangster series “Peaky Blinders” under a pact with The Weinstein Co. and Endemol.

All six episodes of season one will debut at 12:01 a.m. Pacific on Sept. 30, and season two will launch in November, Netflix said.

“Peaky Blinders,” set in 1919 Birmingham, England, follows the Shelby family, which leads a criminal ring named for their practice of sewing razor blades into the peaks of their caps. It was created and written by Steven Knight (“Dirty Pretty Things”, “Eastern Promises”).

Series stars Cillian Murphy (“Inception,” “The Dark Knight Rises”), Sam Neill (“The Tudors,” “Jurassic Park”), Helen McCrory (“Hugo,” “Harry Potter”) and Annabelle Wallis (“Snow White and the Huntsman,” ”The Tudors”). The series was produced by Caryn Mandabach Production and Tiger Aspect Production for BBC Two, which first aired “Peaky Blinders.”

Looks great! I'd been wanting to watch this and now I can! Tom Hardy will also be joining the cast in Season 2.

No longer boycotting the Wolfenstein franchise
Sweet! I've been very interested in this one, as a huge Cillian Murphy fan. Steven Knight's awesome too.

Good programme this. Really looking forward to the second series.

Some of the Brummie accents are a bit iffy, but I doubt an American audience would pick up on it.

Sam Neill's Irish accent too. Sheesh.

Was just looking for a new show and noticed Season 1 is up today.

Starting it now on my lunch break. Let's see how much work gets done today...

Really liking it so far. Not a fan of the Jack White songs, but they work I guess.

And yeah, Holy Hell Sam Neill's Accent weaves in and out of regions from the abstract to absurd.
