I'm impressed. I own none of those games. Not what I wanted but I'll probably try out Sonic and Forspoken at least.

Everyone should play fist if you like metroidvania, the game is a gem.

And if you think you can enjoy magic, acrobatic, infamous with some cringe writing, forspoken is not the worse thing in the universe, just fiddle with the control settings because the defaults are not ideal.

I did get the Premium for a year on that sale so it was $90 (discounted PSN cards at Costco). Might try out Sly games

yes. It looks much sharper than it did on ps5. No patch of course but it seems to resolve higher

If res and framerate on rtx mode were unlocked\dynamic then the game should run much better on pro even without a patch.

I played FIST when it was in Game Pass and it felt pretty generic. Sure the character designs are interesting, but the gameplay is a mix of everything you've already seen.

Not the greatest month but I'm sure people will get enjoyment from it.

WRC is the only game I'm probably going to check out. I thought the wording when they announced the 3 PS2 titles made it sound like those were going to be in addition to more titles but I guess not.

Hopefully more people will check out Forspoken because if you only play AAA games then you lose all sight of what it actually feels like to experience the bottom tier.

Overall Forspoken isn’t a great game but the combat and traversal elements are wonderful. It very much feels like the first time I finished Nier on PS3 “That was trash….but I think I had fun….”

Well at least now you can try forspoken for "free" and see that the combat and traversal are all good, and none of the memed stuff is really in the game; aces OST too, was my pick for best soundtrack in 2023.

Son of a nutcracker! Been wanting Forspoken to come to PS+ ever since launch and sure enough a few months after I quit there it is.

I thought the focus on combos like a light fighting game was pretty nice and the production values are out of this world for an indie metroidvania.

Forspoken is extremely mid. The world is pretty cool and good looking and gameplay and traversal is awesome but the rest is really sub par. I totally get the lukewarm reception.

The stuff they memed is actually in the game but:

-most of the writing is serviceable like many other games, so it's not constant juvenile cringe (i guess this can vary based on where you draw the line)
-i could make a 2 min montage of cringe from almost any fucking game in existence

It's definitely not a game to play for the plot or characters or writing, traversal and most of the combat are the real hook.

Oh hell yeah, wanted to try out Frontiers but been burned by Sonic too many times to plunk down money.

That's why I said "really", it's a 30-40 hours game, all the memed stuff is from like the first 15 minutes.

Pretty cool and one of only fair reviews at the time.

The game is also getting some recognition on Reddit. I think I will replay it on Christmas break or a but later.
