Sounds exciting, I had a lot of good memories from these two games. I wonder which studio will develop it. Vicarious Visions was absorbed into Blizzard and Toys for Bob went independent and is allegedly working on Spyro. Maybe Beenox?

I heard from someone last year project was revived, so this is fantastic news. I still bang 1+2 to this day, it's amazing and also old PS2 versions of 3 and onward on steam deck

Hell yeah I hope this is true! Also would be nice if they would create some sort of option launcher hub for these like master chief collection so all games could be under a single tile amd take up less space on our games lists.

Please be true! Although it sucks that if it’s true, this “leak” kind of robs the game of its moment. But who cares? THPS 1+2 is amazing and I’m all in for either a “+3” DLC, a “3+4” remake or even an entire new game with the same dev, since they understood the assignment and nailed it.

Vicarious Visions doesn't exist anymore and got absorbed into Blizzard as Blizzard Albany so they're probably not a dev

Sick. I loved 3 and, even though I wasn't a huge fan of 4, the fact that one of the levels was based on where I went to college was awesome. I can't wait to see what a remaster would look like.

Wasn't 4 quite different from 3? Kinda weird that it would be bundled in like 1+2 was. Anyway, THUG was the goat. Hopefully we see that eventually

I hope it has better image quality and character models than the previous remake. Also, the competitions need to get knocked down a peg. Getting gold (and most sick scores) is like pulling teeth. If not then original Tony Hawk 3/2X is still franchise's peak.

as with most things that sound too good to be true, I'll believe it when I see it.

...but I would be the happiest man alive if true.

THPS 1+2 was so perfect, I still can't believe it exists. a perfect remake

Please, God, let this be true! No clue how these games fell off. Would love to see SSX Tricky or 3 get the remaster treatment, or better yet, a true successor to 3.

This genre needs a revival!

How did these games die off?

I remember when Tony Hawk games was our GTA / Call Of Duty
Too many titles in a short period, meme games and worse and worse quality.

Project 8 was a great reboot of the series, more grounded and weighty but still arcade gameplay and threw it out in American wasteland and then Skate came in and took the crown.

Just be 3 and on Tour.

Tricky isn't nearly as good as people remember, the original was better and tricky was like JSRF in terms of reimagining and expanding the original title but the course design is really, really bad.

TH3 was perfection. I played it a lot on PC when it came out. Then, when I got my Xbox I bought a used TH4. I played it for a day and didn't like it. I returned it and walked out with a copy of TH3 instead. I played that to death on Xbox.

Since then I dropped the series, but got back into it with Project 8 which I really enjoyed.

I paid good money for this Dynex!
I'd love for this to be true. THPS3 is definitely the height of the series, but I still really enjoyed 4. Didn't make sense for Activision to stop at 2 when 3 is, rightly or wrongly, what pretty much everybody wants.

I love these games, wish I had a friend who was into them. The games are best played locally swapping controllers after each try.

Really great games though. These are from a time when sports games weren't made to be easy, they were made to make you learn a system and they were the better for it.

Now do a new SSX.

Who would be working on them? I thought they moved the studio to other things then closed em

Beenox was the best guess I saw of maybe who was doing it. They've managed to survive all this time, and they have a long, long history of working on the Tony Hawk franchise. (Among the studio's first game jobs was handing the Mac/PC ports of THPS3, which led to many others in the series. They also did work on ports of THPS1×2 Remastered. ) There's no insider rumor of this being true, but it would make sense.

Toys for Bob could be doing it, but they've been working heavily in the CoD mines and also launched that Crash Bandicoot GAAS so I don't see how they would have the time.

Vicarious Visions is now part of Blizzard (sadly, imo), so they're likely out.

The other guess I'd throw in is Velan, the studio formed by Vicarious expats. (They did Knockout City and that Mario Kart toy game. )
