Australian Classification has rated the unannounced game Terminator 2D: NO FATE for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. It is listed as published and developed by Reef Entertainment, which published the first-person shooter Terminator: Resistance.

Details about the game are currently unknown.

It's interesting that the game is now rated (it should be 3-5 months away from release), but it hasn't even been announced yet.

Depending no how big it is, it might appear on Xbox January Direct (but they hardly show third-party games there). Or perhaps there may be a State of Play soon in the first couple of months.

This is probably what they'll do. I'd kind of like to see an old fashioned side scroller with shooting and platforming challenges. The 16bit Terminator games were great games, IMO.
