First-person horror story about a journalist who witnessed an alien abduction at the Grayswood farm. The game is inspired by such movies as Signs, Dark Skies, The Gracefield Incident, The X-Files, War of the Worlds and many others.

The game tells the story of Taylor Fox, the journalist. He comes to the Grayswood farm to shoot a photo documentary about the strange phenomena happening around the place. The farmer’s family reports on bright lights in the sky, violent behavior in animals, and other odd events. But once the journalist comes to the farm he is confronted with far more horrifying things.

They Are Here is a classic, linear, plot-centered first-person horror game. The player will be investigating the area ⎯ searching for artifacts, reading notes and documents, examining photos, studying audio and video tapes. The player’s tools include a flashlight, a walkie-talkie, a camera and video equipment to record evidence of the aliens’ activity. There are several locations in the game: a farm, a military base, etc.

We have released a Prologue, which is now available in the updated version! The prologue tells us about the first UFO contact, which happened many years before the events of the demo. The hero of the story is private Michael Anderson stationed at the military base near the Grayswood farm, who by quirky chance becomes a witness to terrible, inexplicable events.

Book is far creepier. The part where the main character remembers his father crying and being terrified as they were abducted on a train or something.

Fire in the Sky is the GOAT in the genre. Most of the movie is fairly dry exposition, but the abduction and “experimentation” scenes are absolutely amazing. The practical effects hold up perfectly today as well.
