Tomb Raider The Angel of Darkness Remastered will include cut content from the original game

Some of the additional content restored in Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered includes items from Rennes' Pawnshop and the Willowtree Herbalist, providing players with new ways to equip Lara for her adventure. Restored voice lines, story notes, and inventory items add even more depth to the narrative. Kurtis Trent now has access to his iconic Chirugai blade and a psychic shield for boss battles.

I felt like posting this since these guys are actually trying to do a good job with all the remastered games. The first trilogy is still getting updates and they have been listening to feedback from fans so far.

If you enjoyed the first 3 remastered games, the next 3 will probably be good as well.

Tomb Raider IV . V . VI releases on Valentine's Day and Lara's birthday: February 14th:

Grab it for the final games with the one true Lara Croft before all the reboots.

When is it coming out?
The game was so bad it was barely playable when if came out but I always liked the darker atmosphere

Wasn't this game a huge letdown?
Yup...the entire story and development of this game was one of my favorite hobbies to research when i was younger. (at least about videogames)

There was so much cut content back then, some of it was actually accessible if you knew how to do it through bugs and stuff. entire sections completed even with voice acting and all.

they also added the dual pistols for the game, which was cut last minute back then. i forgot to mention this in the OP. There's a trophy that already reveals us that.

Genuinely can’t wait for this. Every other game will be put on hold until all three are completed.

4 probably with a guide because I remember that was hard as nails to navigate otherwise 😂

I have a love/hate relationship with Angel of Darkness. I despised the bugs and the gameplay - a drastic departure from the original games and an inconsistent mix of game genres (it's clearly inspired by Metal Gear Solid and Shenmue), but really really loved the dark atmosphere, and the OST is absolutely Awards material.

I have such a envy for who's going to play it for the first time.

I remember when rumours came out that there would be a guy on Lara croft game, the magazine I read made fun of the concept, suggesting if we could play as him, maybe we could make jump of a cliff.

TR I - III Remastered is ~$13 on gamersgate.

Already have the original games on PC. Is there any mods or whatever for them, to make the remaster not worth it. Nothing crazy (like graphics overhaul like the remasters), but just basic QOL updates?

It was released in an unfinished state because Eidos didn't accept another delay of 6-12 months, people could see that a lot of contents and features were badly cut from the game last minute and the control system was atrocious.
But it had a lot of potential, the levels were really cool with a great atmosphere and the story was for the first in the series interesting.

This remaster/remake where it seems they bothered to finish its development could give a second life to the game although it was planned to be the beginning of a trilogy so we'll never know what they were planning.

Sheeesh thats a murderers row of disappointment....and I played The Last Revelation at launch on Dreamcast.
These remasters might as well be called remakes to truly save these games.
Okay The Lasty Revelation wasnt that bad.

huh? The Last Revelation is probably the 2nd or 3rd best game from Core Design. That game really is great.

I enjoyed Last Revelation a lot, prefer it to 3
Chronicles felt a bit stale, like a level pack, though I didn't play much into it. I heard the team was just over it by then and wanted to move on, but were forced to churn out another.
Didn't bother with Angel of Darkness

Will be picking these remasters up though. And trying Angel first.

I enjoyed it when I played it. The following is a cringe inducing promo video that was on the DVD that gives some idea of what the developers were going for, I remember it came on the DVD:

TLR is probably the best if load times are completely axed. But it likely would need a waypoint or so, as you need to do some serious backtracking. They pretty much tried to make one big level, which the hardware obviously wouldn't allow.

Chronicles is probably the worst game along with AoD. But thing is I never played AoD. I lost interest in TR well before it. I am kind of curious.
