So I was thinking about the next Smash game last night and thought it would be fun to have trophies/spirits being replaced by TCG cards and have a side mode in the game being a fully playable TCG game (that they could release in physical version eventually, though I guess it could be a bit complicated with licensing and stuff).

Anyway, lot of discussions about how Smash as a game should evolve moving forward but this thread is more for the "side stuff" you would like to see in the next installment.

I don’t really want them to replace the trophies.

Turning the spirits into some kind of multiplayer TCG sounds like it could be fun though. But most things would be better than their current use imo, I had zero interest in collecting spirits in SSBU.

I want the Melee/Brawl style trophies, where you can really examine them, and there’s some little blurb and fact sheet about each one.

I used to play a game with my Melee friends, where we’d zoom insanely far in on one of the trophies, and we’d try to guess which one is was. It was kind of like a stupid version of geoguesser. It was super fun lol
