I was really excited for The Order because I think Ready at Dawn are really great. I loved Daxter and Ghost of Sparta. Chains of Olympus was pretty meh, but still. I just haven't really liked what I've been seeing from The Order.
It doesn't seem to let you play enough. And giving me control in little pseudo cutscenes isn't something that excites me. I haven't watched every video, so maybe I'm missing something they have shown to dispell this. I don't mind cover shooters, in fact I like them, but the level structure seems very narrow which hurts for those type of games I think. The setting looks really cool and the graphics look amazing. I do like that there seems to be more variety in the gameplay based on your article. That should be a plus.
Anyway, I will definitely be playing it, but if I had to guess I'd say it will be pretty average and not really memorable. I'd love to be wrong. I think if I'm being honest I wish they'd have gone with something more along the Daxter/God of War route for a new IP. Something more action/adventure than this perhaps. Stil I'm curious to see how it turns out.
