Tekken 7: Fated Retribution, Akuma/Gouki announced as playable character

Considering that Street Fighter V, Killer Instinct, & supposedly King of Fighters XIV are PC-bound, I'd be shocked if Tekken 7 wasn't doing the same.

The real shocking news would be that the game would be crossplay with PS4.

I'm still kinda sad that Tag 2 never was released on pc...

But it was a different time back then and things have massively changed for 3rd parties view on pc.

That it was only announced for ps4

This is false the game was announced for both Ps4 and Xbox 1. But ps4 has exclusive vr stuff.

I don't think there's been an official announcement for Xbox One. The only console announcement we got was at Paris Games Week, and that was on PlayStation's stage, so they didn't mention anything about Xbox.

I was really not impressed with Tekken 7, but those updated graphics, costumes, and Akuma inclusion look fucking awesome. Hope this is the version that's coming to consoles!

I don't get comments like this, so they need help from a game that needs Sony to happen?

From what I've seen Tekken 7 has been a huge hit... Master Cup was insane this year. The production value last night was also better than Capcom Cup IMO... loved that they had the announcer from Pride calling the intros.

Things were kind of rough at launch and Tekken Crash... but after a few updates the game really took off.

i'm really not a fan of guest characters in fighting games, especially when they're worked in to the story. it just kind of reeks of desperation to me. that said, they could have chosen a far worse character than gouki, so i can deal.

holy crap does the game look that much better though, and i'm happy to finally see some new costumes.

i'd love an option to turn off customs so i never have to look at anyone in their underwear wearing a cake on their head and a fish strapped to their back.

Official Bandai Namco press releases for the game , plus the many articles , tekken 7 will release on home platforms. I don't know about pc though
One for example
That's unspecific, which is why a XBOX ONE port is assumed and not confirmed. By this logic you could also say that Tekken 7 is coming to the Wii U.

Akumas probably Kazuyas real dad
and im not even surprised about it
Tekken 7 DLC characters for SFV confirmed?
and vice versa?

Make no sense about the debt thing. And more about the whole Tekken Devil gene (but sometimes revisited) lore. And gonna be mad if they claim Gouki is something-ish demon alike ... Gouki is just fucking dedicated (to the death) to fighting (and murdering the worthy one).

Things are looking good with the updated graphics and default costumes. Now, we just need a Michelle or Julia reveal without the
Jaycee shenanigans
.

It'd be one thing if Akuma was just a guest character with an isolated story, but being an integral part of the main story that ties up the entire Mishima saga is ridiculous. It's kind of a big middle finger to people who've been following the story since the first Tekken.

On a positive note, the visuals look much improved. Can't wait for that PS4 release, regardless of hokey crossovers.

Ono announced that TxSF got scrapped so Namco is just going to use some SF characters now
It seemed this is the thread that got people to believe that Tekken x Street Fighter is canceled.

Except two things:

1) Ono wouldn't say that about another company's product.
2) Ono couldn't say that because he wasn't even at the Tekken 7 World Championships. Ayano was there instead wearing a SFV shirt.

So it's just a tales from my ass speculation that TxSF is canceled at the moment.

I think it's a pretty cool plot twist. And honestly is it anymore ridiculous than the Mishima family starting WWIII?

;_; Seriously loving Harada right now. That dog knew they were going to do this from the start, upgrading the shit out of Xiao and everyone else like this.

Many fans were non believers.

No, all I'm saying is that the Tekken brand and characters don't have enough popularity to stand on their own. Street Fighter a more well known property, so putting a guest character in it puts more eyes on the game, and expands the audience to SF fans too.

My guess is that this is because Tekken isn't really making that much money, but it's just a guess.

瞬獄殺, Shun Goku Satsu?, "Flash Prison Murder"[2] or "Blinking Prison Killer"
But yeah get ya

It's more like Instant Hell Murder, as Goku has the nuance of "hell" or "evil".
Akuma (Gouki) isn't a "devil" in the western sense, but the idea is he has some kind of inhuman power.

Tekken 7 is making good money in arcades according to Harada, but supposedly it's also more expensive to play in arcades than previous Tekkens (customizations, revenge match mode, etc: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=169152663&postcount=5852). So, it's anyone's guess as to how these two factors offset each other. Apparently, it hasn't been all rainbows and butterflies with regards to the reception of T7 and various changes...at least according to top players.

Tekken console sales have definitely been on a decline in recent years, though. And, interest in the U.S. has been on the decline.

This announcement will definitely pique interest, though.

There's a reason why Tekken 3 is still the highest selling game in the franchise... that Gon effect.
