I've actually been surprised that DC didn't snatch up Smith after Avengers 1. Given WB/DC playing catch up, them saying "Well, Avengers was done by a comic geek, lets get one to do our films too!". Not saying Smith would be good, it just seems like the knee-jerk reaction that would have been made.

They're not that dumb, come on.

Smith claims he can't shoot action, so naturally he is now directing episodes of The Flash. It's probably why he hasn't done a Daredevil episode

Why did they fuck up BATMAN vs SUPERMAN? Why this particular movie?!?

They had like 8 Superman movies done before that - why weren't they a piece of garbage?

They made like 9 Batman movies before this one - why weren't they 3/10?!?

Of all the Batman or Superman movies ever made they just HAD TO fuck up the one where Bats meets Supes... the one that the whole comic world was waiting for.

Unimaginable... Unheard of... WB losers... what a bunch of losers...

That's what bothers me the most. Of all the comic book storylines and premises, Batman v Superman is nearly impossible to fuck up. It basically writes itself. The comic lore for these two is so thick that you could throw a dart at a board of post-it notes with comic storylines and still have a great film.

And yet, WB and Snyder fucked it up. Despite having an Oscar-winning writer and some of the best talent in the industry. That takes a spectacular level of incompetence.

I just hope this somehow leads to them shelving Cyborg, if they managed to fuck up a Batman/Superman movie then god help thine eyes if they attempt Cyborg.

Again, an RT score has nothing to do with one movie being as bad as the other. It just means that an equal amount (dubious) of people gave both films a negative review.

Watchmen has 65% on RT and Avengers: AOU has 75%..just why should I care about rotten tomatoes score again?

one of my favorite movies, Only God Forgives has a 40% score, think I'm gonna use RT as inversely proportional to quality.

Methinks Snyder would be perfect for Spawn.

That comic has always been a dark, cynical gore-fest with over the top action that is nowhere near as smart as it thinks it is.

Yeah, I'm having a hard time believing this is as bad as these films. It just can't be. Effin' A man, I still remember walking out of Green Lantern like ".... What?" and I know nothing about the character.

See I actually liked Green Lantern. Was it bad? Yea but it was watchable. Also Reynolds did great with what he had to work with which wasn't much. lol

I've never read Tower of Babel but knowing that we missed out on a George Miller Justice League movie really hurts to know.

On that note is Tower of Babel a good read?

Everything by Mark Waid I've ever read is good. Let him write these movies, FFS.

Wtf is going on lol this isnt the worst film of all time.
I've considered to shut myself from the Internet and this thread. It seems that people here don't have a strong enough mindset to form their own opinion when they see it. This society has the Internet telling them what they should do and like in there lives. I'll complain or praise once I see this movie tomorrow. No one is making me feel some type of way just because they didn't like it

I can't even imagine how it feels to be all of the actors attached to the DC "Universe", thinking that they had their future pretty much set in stone for the foreseeable future, especially some of the lesser known folks.

I feel horrible for Mamoa. The dude seems super chill, but he can't catch a break.

I just have to know how much control Snyder had planning this whole universe? Did DC/WB really just go, "sure do whatever the hell you want" and place all their bets that he was a genius?

Are you familiar with the material of the character though? Perhaps that added to your enjoyment of it. I went into that film seriously knowing next to nothing about GL.

It's a pretty good indicator of the average consensus on movies.

I absolutely agree with you on A:AoU vs Watchmen but I know that every single one of my friends and coworkers do not.

I think RT are too kind on Only God Forgives, however. And that is from someone who thinks that Drive is sublime.
