Well, BvS is unlikely to be a bomb.

Snyder isn't exactly in the Wachowski's shoes, who deliver movies that are both critically savaged AND lose hundreds of millions of dollars.

Snyder will be OK,

The standards for helming a tentpole are different, though. If it doesn't do well, he should be out.

Nah, he's getting booted.

He won't cripple WB because it's a movie with Batman and Superman in it, a blind chimpanzee could have directed and wrote the film and the masses (including myself) would go out and see it. This movie was never going to lose money.

Oh so you're speaking purely in RT terms. I haven't heard anybody talk about Waterworld in that sense.

I'm sure this film will do alright comercially, none of my friends and relatives care about the critics' opinions, they just want to see Superman and Batman again.

I fucking love Watchmen but I also agree that Ozzy was miscast. Fassbender would have been perfect if he was a big star back then.

Movie's ending > Comic's ending

I like the Fass, but whoever plays Ozzy needed to be the guy you least expected to do what he did. It needed to be an actor who exuded an almost innate boyscout leader goodness. Fass just has too much edge, man.

I'd like someone like a Chris Evans with more authority.

I agree though Matthew Goode was a weird casting choice.

Yeah. Even if it doesn't lose money, any hope for a successful sequel or a franchise is wrecked.

Scrooged

Totally wronger about Nintendo's business decisions.
Again, an RT score has nothing to do with one movie being as bad as the other. It just means that an equal amount (dubious) of people gave both films a negative review.

The RT score is based on the binary rating of Fresh or Rotten. But they also show the average of the actual score that critics give. Right now the average rating is 5.2/10

Batman Forever back on top! Schumacher redeemed! Bat-Nipples vindicated! GAF kissed from a rose on the gray!

35% is close to Paul Blart territory. Dare to dream!

On the plus side, there's, what, only 70 more reviews this film could receive?

I wonder if it can reach below 30% in that time!

Getting excited by all these negative reviews. Honestly, I'm excited at the thought of this dark universe. "More pessimistic than Anti-Christ"? Sign me the fuck up.

I have zero problems with pessimistic, but I would like a good story with well written characters too.
