I guess they're gonna have to recast Batman and Superman for Infinity War.

Well i just came back..i..ehm well i have to wash it away with a different movie. I do have to say Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne he did a stellar job. I got that great arkham vibe from the games he was in beast mode for sure kudos to him.

Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman not to shabby either....the rest of the movie? I never felt so depressed. It felt so detached from anything from a movie like this...

I need to wash it away with some Batman & Robin and some lighthearted Ant Man at best for now just to cheer me up again.

Also no one in the theater applaud..a few little laughs here and there but overall? Silence..silence even at the end of the movie.

Esienberg played a a great Mad Scientist lex. I couldn't see the Luthor's from Smallville, and the older superman films doing any of this as they were all real estate monguls.

Yeah the movie is especially a little close to home with all the recent terrorist events -- and thats not a bad thing, but i guess people go to films to take thier minds of reality.
That capital hill scene everyone gasped in the cinema.
Supermans face in the flames is very powerfull stuff.

Nothing at mine, except a loud laugh from one guy at the Lois having balls line.

I didn't get any ovations at mine, or any laughter. I got a few loud groans, though. And I'm pretty sure at some point there was some dude sitting two rows in front of me punching himself in the head.

My experience was different, which probably made me enjoy the movie a bit more than I would've. I went to the midnight showing and while the it was mostly silence throughout the first half, everyone went nuts once the big fight started and didn't calm down until the climax.

I wouldn't call the movie terrible, but I really wish it was better. I even won free tickets and gave them away... I'm not sure I want to sit through the movie again. What a bummer.

He shouldn't have to research the character, the script and director should be all that he needs. He played the role the way Snyder wanted, reading a comic book isn't going to change what the director tells him to do.

Exactly. He was never going to write his own lines.

i want to see what the hell he would do with the justice league but i also think it's a terrible idea to let him run amok again. somebody else really needs to take the reigns of that movie because otherwise WB is going to alienate audiences. us nerds are masochists and we watch this and take the pain lol but the casual viewers won't keep coming back if the movies are like this.
Speak for yourself. I stopped going to theaters after phase 1 of Marvel movies once I realized that almost all their movies are your average blockbuster movie with a superhero spin on it. With Russos and the writer behind them, I'll be there day 1 every single time however. Everyone else, I can watch them 6 months later. I didn't bother with Green Lantern until it came to blue ray. I will watch this one but if I do find it awful in two days, I don't know if I'll bother watching JCL movie with him in charge. If I find it good enough, I'll watch one like Avengers and then decide if I want to bother with more of his movies on theaters.

Since the mods won't make a poll I looked elsewhere for one. What do you lot think?
I care even less for ratings on random boards then on Meta Critics or User Ratings for movies that are followed by big fanboy groups what are going to be manipulated because #reasons.
Look at the Meta Critics from Users for Videogames where Idiots give 1/10 or 10/10 because it comes for the wrong consoles.

Also, I dont know what kind of people are inhibiting this forum. Are these mostly DC fans wo dont want to get their precious movie see getting bad reviews? Or are these 10/10 ratings from people who were mostly sceptic before? I dont know, so this is a random number on the internet.

Eisenberg probably did a fine job with the material he was given and what he was told to do. It's not like he wrote the character.

A spoiler from Daredevil season 2 in a BvS thread. Haha. Not sure that's spoiler tags work. Push your tag to the end of "Daredevil S2" so people know what you're talking about first. I've seen BvS, I haven't watched the entire DD season this past week.

Anyway, can someone tell me the point of this thread with a spoiler thread and an OT also out there? Seriously.

Good looking out THX

Can someone please take that scene from
Daredevil S2 where Matt's getting his head slammed against the desk by Kingpin and shop Snyder and Kevin Tsujihara's faces in?

I see the reviews are still coming in around average. It's funny when period say the reviewers are wrong, then proceed to rate it a whole digit higher than the reviews..😕

The title changes, silly.

I'd say to keep the noise out of the OT, at least..

I thought the scene where Lex was delivering the speech at that function really set up the tone for Jesse Eisenberg's portrayal of the character. That isn't the Lex I know (more the Riddler), but I can at least forgive the actor for Snyder's vision. My wife actually ended up liking Lex even know she generally hates Eisenberg as an actor. I could see how it would ruin the movie for some though.

Yeah, it's mostly the misinterpretation of the RT%. The movie is probably between a 4-7/10 for most.

I heard someone say, either on Facebook or Twitter, that there was a "standing ovation" for Wonder Woman's costumed appearance.

Haha. Can you even imagine?

Ben needs to a Batman movie a solo one asap..without the freaking guns and shit. He did arkham asylum style fighting i really liked that.

This is probably one of the most scorned superhero movies in a while, but none of this even matters.

July 14th, 2016.
California, San Diego, Comic-Con, Hall H

Zack Snyder: "And now that you've seen these great new trailers for Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman, it's time for the big gun."

Fanboys: *screaming intensifies*

Zack Snyder: "Ladies and gentlemen, are you ready for this Seven Samurai-inspired masterpiece made just for you, the fans?!

Fanboys: *frothing at the mouth*

Zack Snyder: "Well here you go!"

45 seconds later...

"HOLY SHIT, DID YOU GUYS SEE THAT? WHEN AQUAMAN SUMMONED A FUCKING SHARK ON THAT PARADEMON?! OR-OR-OR WHEN WONDER WOMAN SLICED THAT ONE DUDE IN HALF? DARKSEID TEAMING UP WITH BLACK ADAM, THIS IS THE SUPERHERO MOVIE I'VE BEEN WAITING MY WHOLE LIFE FOR!"

And then we're back on GAF next year laughing at the 19% on the Tomato-meter and making sad Ezra Miller memes.
