Where do you stand on No Man's Sky?

Not interested unless it turns out to be much better than what was shown so far (and to be honest at this point I won't even see anything else, unless world of mouth turns out to be really good about it). Procedural worlds turn me down and size by itself is not an attractive feature to me.

I would have picked it up at a lower price point as a barebones exploration game. No interest in a full price title with the game mechanics they have shown.

Looking forward to it. Looks like Elite Dangerous if Elite Dangerous was actually any fun to play so it's exactly what I've been waiting for.

Honestly I just need a bit more game.

Highly suspicious. My Spore-senses are triggered whenever I see a preview for it.

Spore burnt me so hard as a kid I never recovered I swear.

That skepticism will follow me forever and it's followed me here.

Cautiously optimistic. I've got nothing to play this summer aside from my ongoing second playthrough of Witcher III on Deathmarch difficulty, which also involves all the expansions that I haven't even played through once.

Once that's done, I'll be pretty free gamewise, so while I haven't put in a digital pre-order on the game yet (I'm all digital this generation), I'd be willing to closer to release if early reviews are promising.

I have it preordered. I'm ready. I have a pretty good idea what I've bought based on the information available (the long Game Informer interview was probably the most enlightening) and I'm just ready to finally play it.

I do think reviews will be all over the place based upon the wild expectations. Some will cling to the lower end ones as validation for any number of "told you so" moments (price point, gameplay depth, technical issues, etc.) when really I believe it will be divisive by design. Some players just aren't interested in exploration for the sake of exploration and that's ok.

Willing to buy day 1, but will wait for reviews and impressions just to be sure.

All I need to know is whether or not the majority of planets you fly to early on will have stuff to do that's fun, or if most of the early planets before you can readily warp around are just going to be dead rocks (like in real life).

Not a fan of procedural generation in general either

Yeah, this is what's really keeping me away from this game. Randomly generated worlds is like Kryptonite to me. It doesn't really give me any sense of accomplishment. I like to play games that have a concrete world that I can fully explore.

Otherwise, I still think it looks pretty cool, just not my thing.

Wait till its 9.99 on Steam Sale or just skip altogether

Game play looks like it has potential to be amazing, but I cant play it with my friends so that guillotines the purchase for me.

Thought Emoji Movie was good. Take that as you will.
Damn, how opinions change on things over years.

This is why they should not announce shit so far in advance.

i did pre order the limited edition at one point, but when I heard the latest delay, I decided to cancel it. Still on my radar and I'll wait till reviews

Wow I thought it was a timed PS4 exclusive but looks like it's same day now for PC too, no wonder Sony stopped the hype train.

I'm with others though, this type of game begs for coop and without it there's no point in me picking it up.

RIght now it feels like a Steam sale game to me. This might change when I get to know more, but I don't have high hopes. We'll see.

The same as I've been since it was first shown; cool idea, but I have zero faith that the game will have more than 10 hours of unique gameplay. Everything they've shown so far just confirms this. Every planet feels the same, they all follow the same blueprints. Sure, this planet is blue, this one is green, but they all feel the same. I'm buying it because the premise is very cool and I want to see for myself if they can pull it off, but to be brutally honest: I don't think there's a way in hell they will.

Iffy about it. Releasing in 2 months, yet a no show at E3 just seems spurious to me, especially after it was a central focus of 2 E3s in a row (right?)

Getting a serious Spore vibe in the sense that 2 years ago this was one of the most impressive, hyped, awesome looking games ever. And now that development has continued, it's seemingly become much more pedestrian. I'm not going to write it off, but I'm just not that interested in it right now.

Looks really really cool but I think most people are gonna play for a few weeks and then get that feeling I have when I play Minecraft for a while Then just stop

Day of Amazon Delivery. Can't wait to play it. I hope they add PSVR to it.

And no building.

So...not really Minecraft?

Eh, there are craftig elements to it, but you have to get a plan first, though. The question is - how complex will it be? We haven't seen much of the craftig yet. Probably won't be a "place random stuff here, add a door and congrats to your new home!" game, though.

the game didn't change, only the deadline did, and it was delayed by 51 days, not a year or two. why?

Don't worry, I'll vouch for them.

People were bitching that Sony may show this game again at E3 and then you find that it is scary that it was a no show.

Or not be so vague when talking about your own game. My opinion hasn't changed, as I always thought it looked like a nothing game. But it looks like something that will create unique experiences. So I will give that premise a shot.

I'm the opposite. Not having much fun with Elite and not seeing anything with NMS that makes me think I'll like it much more.

Not that there's a thing wrong with that. Just not my type of gameplay or experience.

Day fucking one. Love the art style, love the premise. Entire game could have been nothing but walking and flying and it would still be a day one purchase. Although not at $60 lol

Never understanded the appeal for this game, they never showed the objective of the game besides traveling to other planets, definitly not for me.

Looks like a planet explorer I played for free years ago in a Unity devs tech demo. Only now with some weak gameplay elements tacked on.

Not impressed but happy to be proven wrong.

Preordered and super excited. I've been following closely so I know what I'm getting. A little concerned about performance on PS4, but I have no other options.

It's not on my radar, but I do want to see what kind of reception it gets when it does release. I want to see if the game continually stays fun or if it gets boring after a while.

It'll probably be a Steam sale pickup unless it far exceeds everyone's expectations.

Pre-ordered the Special Edition, great looking steelbook.

Space exploration + combat, a massive number of planets to explore, trading, resources gathering, as someone who grew up with games like Elite, I pretty much know what to expect from it and its looking great to me.

I feel that the 'what do you do' camp is just dense. there's been two month-long specials on IGN and every major and minor outlet has pored over this game. you're excused if you don't get the finer details but all the story's out there. coming here and "but what do you do" is just you being a smartass.

also, it's no minecraft in space. it's been said over and over again.

Just built a PC but have the PS4 Limited Edition preordered, might be double dipping. This is the only game I'm really looking forward to this year.

I've always had a negative outlook on it. I understand why people are enamoured by it but it's nothing of interest to me. They haven't done anything to show me why "I" should be interested in it. But I do appreciate all the ambition that is going into it and the artstyle is nifty

That OP is sure making a bunch of assumptions.

I'm glad they're keeping their heads down and working hard to the finish line. Can't wait to lose myself to that game for a while once it hits.
