i have a theory about this. I'm not sure but don't think you're doing anything wrong. Just keep heading there for now.
gorgeous. can't wait to be rid of this ship tho
Haven't done the Atlas stuff personally so I don't know what it is about if that's what you mean, but I don't think it's tied directly to the journey to the center.Ok thanks! Hmm Im done with all theso I was expecting to be going faster soon.story
Anyone?
It's weird, my photon cannons don't seem to need a charge. Are they supposed to? I've been blasting away with them and never ran out of ammo.Did anyone ever figure out the fix for the unchargeable photon cannons? I'm in a new ship with that issue.
Why do these guys have to sell ships with empty tanks? Cheapskates.
Man that sucks! Maybe you landed it on another ship by accident. Ok maybe not. At this point I'd scour for a landing pad or transmission unit to summon it back. The marker for my starship now says it's off planet. I have no idea what the hell is happening.
I'm assuming AI dudes don't just jack your ship if you leave it for too long.
Keep Warping forward. Just got mine after passing the first anomaly. Once you warp, you will find another anomalyAtlas ship(a circle ship, with Nada and Polo. Polo is the one that gives you the recipe for the AtlasPass)
Can confirm that this is exactly how I got my AtlasPass as well.
And completely unrelated, can your mining beam eventually be upgraded enough to blow apart the locked doors you find at some outposts? My current beam seems to do jack shit to them but my Boltcaster blows them apart fairly quickly.
The only major issue I have with the game as it stands right now is the really bizarre approach to atmospheric flight. You have almost no control over it, it seems it was designed for someone that has never played a game before or as a thought that atmospheric flight shouldn't matter and that you should just land immediately and that it's and explore on foot from there on only.
Why can't I pitch further down after a certain altitude? I want to fly closer to the planet's surface, among canyons and through tunnels but you can't. Even when flying at the lowest altitude the game allows and there's a hill or something ahead of you it auto pitches for you.
It's a really odd decision they've made here since it's all about exploring planets but I have very little freedom of traversing/exploring the planet and taking in the sights from above with atmospheric flight.
Also I think it's quite odd that there can be a station by a planet when the planet is supposedly not discovered.
Many months ago I said that I will find having no gas giants and other forms of planets like ice ones disappointing because every planet I can expect to see the same, I want to arrive in a system and see variety, even ones I may not be able to land on, I would like to observe then from orbit. It just adds more to the universe and makes it more specialto find terra planets. It's the same reason why RPGs add junk/white items among the good ones, it would feel odd that all you found were decent to great items, removing that sense of surprise.
I'm enjoying the game nonetheless, it is what I expected, I've always enjoyed this sort of genre, I've put a lot of hours into the Elite series which NMS is quite similar too minus the procedural life on the planet itself (and Elite having more in-depth mechanics overall).
Also curious about everything you've asked, but for the outpost doors I use the plasma grenades. I don't even use the Boltcaster so I can save room for mining laser upgrades. There are upgrades that make the laser itself decent for killing sentinels.
Everything stacks. The more you put in, the higher you can drive the power ratings in the rings; or reload speed, or effects like jetpack boosting. But they occupy those inventory slots, so it's a tradeoff. So I asked earlier but the thread was moving so fast it probably got overlooked (or maybe we don't know the answer yet):
I know that grouping upgrades gives them a boost. Put Boltcaster Reload next to the Boltcaster and they group with the same color.
But is there a reason to keep the different versions active, or do you just replace them?
For example, Boltcaster Reload Simga might have a V1, 2, 3, 4, do they stack (meaning that if you have 1, 2, 3, and 4 you essentially have V10)? Or if you have V1, and get V3 should you just replace V1 with V3?
Same goes for the upgrade power. Is there a reason to keep Boltcaster Reload Sigma active if I have Boltcaster Reload Theta?
And completely unrelated, can your mining beam eventually be upgraded enough to blow apart the locked doors you find at some outposts? My current beam seems to do jack shit to them but my Boltcaster blows them apart fairly quickly.
Whelp, played for like 10 hours straight. This is the survival game I've been waiting for.
Is that after you meetNada and Polo for the first time, or does it happen again? Because I met them earlier on an anomaly, told them I wanted to keep on the path of atlas and I didn't get shit besides another waypoint.
It was the first time I met them, and I had to pass a check on one of the milestones when speaking toI think it was amount of aliens met. I had toPolo. As a reward he gave me the AtlasPass diagram.upload a bunch of animal data to his computer, if I recall correctly.
How to place waypoints: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=213455313&postcount=14336As I'm exploring the one thing that bugs me is the lack of a map or something.
How on earth are you supposed to find outposts and things you already found? I remember one I went to had a nice upgrade but I didn't have the credits to afford it and I want to go back there but have 0 idea how to find it now.
You can see two on the horizon, these things are dotting the whole surface, spaced apart a little, like a pincushion or something.

This planet I'm on has such weird geometry, it's beautiful.

Not sure if when you say scanning again, you mean using L2 again. Look directly at the dot and scan (L3, dunno what PC button is), you have to be pretty darn close.I can't get waypoints to clear, so I don't use them. Are you sure scanning again is supposed to clear them?
Also curious about everything you've asked, but for the outpost doors I use the plasma grenades. I don't even use the Boltcaster so I can save room for mining laser upgrades. There are upgrades that make the laser itself decent for killing sentinels.
The Railshot adapter makes the mining beam damage the doors, it seems to give it the boltcasters damage property.
Ah ok, thanks! The one thing I've had almost NO luck finding is Multitool upgrades. My starter had like 5 slots, and then I upgraded to a new one with 9, but goddamn. I've found more crashed ships at this point then Multitools.Everything stacks. The more you put in, the higher you can drive the power ratings in the rings; or reload speed, or effects like jetpack boosting. But they occupy those inventory slots, so it's a tradeoff.
And no. Those locked doors are one of the few things that can't be damaged by the mining laser. Plasma grenades can do it though, if you've uninstalled your boltcaster.
You haven't metNot sure if I missed something but how do you find an atlas pass ?
While in the star map you can switch between the paths (center, atlas...) by pressing L1 or R1.
Lmao how the fuck![]()
Took about 45 minutes of walking, but I found my way to a terminal and was finally able to recall my frigging ship. I would be really curious to know how in the hell this happened.
Yeah there are a few of these hypervaluable resources that are scattered on individual planets with that Sentinel presence. If you keep moving you can make such duckets. Enjoy yourself.I think I found a planet that breaks this game's economy. If you run into a planet called "Treasure Hell Planet", make sure to stop by. Basically, there is a Gravitino Ball thing every 50 ft on this planet. The only thing is that the sentinels are extremely hostile. They attack on sight and you are immediately at 3 stars when you touch one of the gravitinos. But I'm able to grab a bunch of them, fly off and sell them and make over 500,000 for each run.

Sorry to bother. But i'm asking again for a new page.
I just got a high value curiosity. I should never get rid of it until i find a story beat. Should i. ?
How do i upgrade my ship. ?
Should i sell the Vyken dagger. ?
I always name my super rich planets after the resource there so people visiting know where to stop by.
I just discovered I have a galactic neighbor already as well, would be pretty wonderful to stumble onto a planet named that way. good call.I always name my super rich planets after the resource there so people visiting know where to stop by.
Ok. Thank you very much. You can sell them, they're basically treasure. You can upgrade your ship with tech blueprints but in order to get more slots you need a new ship.
Lol, some of you people are way more thoughtful about this than I am.I always name my super rich planets after the resource there so people visiting know where to stop by.
