Yeah, the mandatory training isn't really something to get worked up over -- it's pretty standard. Stupid, but standard. They'll sit around talking about why X, Y, and Z are bad, everyone agrees that those things are bad, because stripped of any humor or context, those things are bad. You waste about an hour on it, and then everyone forgets it the second they're excused from the room. Pretty sure nobody in the company actually believes they were in the wrong, nor will they change how they act, outside of using a private discord server.

The only thing they're doing that I take exception to is editing out the offensive stuff. It's minor stuff, but it's one of those "principle of the thing" issues.

Most of the companies I've worked for that have had this would just do it via an hour long video you had a deadline to watch by. Most people would open the video, drag the slider to the end in 2 seconds and be done with it instantly.

There should be room for some misunderstanding to cut through some of the straw men but social media seems to enable the most unhinged people who prefer harassment over rational engagement.

I'm seeing the outrage these Devs are getting for their "problematic" viewpoints on a Discord server. However, seeing how one of the Devs is responding is putting me off. What irritates me more than ResetEra and SJWs like them going after Devs for problematic viewpoints is said Devs capitulating and refusing to own up to their own words. If you're going to say something, stand by it. If these Devs are going to grovel to the outrage crowd then they deserve every last bit of ridicule & lost sales that they got.
