I see everybody accusing Tim of using an alt account. Ever stop to think he wasn't trying to make you guys believe that he believes anything the poster said, but was instead being sarcastic for his own personal amusement? I haven't seen his other posts, but that's how I read what he said.
All the calls for his ban are like something out of the Salem witch trials. IP check the damn person and get it over with. I will laugh if what the poster said actually turns out to be true, and this entire exercise was a waste. And I didn't look, but did they make anymore posts?

Anyone has the right to change their mind whenever they wish of course. In this case though, Tim seems to have done a complete 180 simply based on that 1 post and the supposed reaction that other people have had to it in his DM's. He didn't have this reaction because of any number of other credible insiders, he had this reaction ONLY due to that one post. That's what's causing this reaction.

I'm surprised you are more open now to XSX being weaker. XSX could still end up being stronger though, so don't worry. MS has a bigger hill to climb and that is mindshare. PS5 is the bigger brand but MS could perhaps sell more than 40 million units unlike this generation. That is if their strategy of Xbox+PC wouldn't continue to hurt their sales.
But I have high hopes for MS first party devs contributing robust games we can also play on PC. They don't care about unit sales anymore and I'm thankful for MS for that.
PS5 + PC will be the ultimate set-up.

I did express my skepticism based on historical behavior, but that does not count as an accusation.

Since Series X won't have any exclusives for at least a year Sony could just release a more powerful console in 2021 spring or fall. I'm also not seeing much point releasing Lockhart since both S and X will play games till at least 2021 fall. Btw, Microsoft just love damaging their brand with PR.

I want MS to give Sony some competition. ...we as gamers all win. MS will need at least 2-3+ years before we see any games that fully push this new Xbox. Not having any exclusives will turn off many people as they simply will either not upgrade their current old gen systems or will simply buy a Pc

I guess it would be more believable if you had put something on your twitter feed about it, but after you backed YamikaG a few hours later you were still tweeting about the xbox being more powerful.
I want to believe as I like to game on the TV, but I am not getting an xbox now gamepass for Windows exists and I can just dip in for a few months and play Forza/Forza Horizons when the new ones come out, but I'm finding it hard to take this seriously as neither you or proelite are backing this up elsewhere. (you on twitter and proelite on B3D)

By that logic we would never need better cpus.
And yes, pc games are VERY often limited by console cpus.
You can't have the same NPC count, AI scripts, physics, etc that run on a Zen2, running on a Jaguar.
Nobody is talking about graphics, but simulation scope.
Its not a matter of using a "dial" to turn quality from High to Medium, it requires a lot of recoding and no dev is going to make basically 2 games when they can make just one for the lowest cpu and just work on the graphics for the better version. Crossgen games will be a waste of the Zen potential.

I don't understand why people care so much about the whole "games are playable on old consoles, consumer friendly move". They are also being developed for PC, so the extra work is already there for developers, this doesn't change anything to just decide to also release it on current gen consoles, except that it is amazingly friendly of Microsoft that you are not forced to upgrade.

So how were they able to make high end PC versions of Metro, while also developing a lesser version for consoles using an inferior Jaguar CPU? It's almost like they are able to make different versions for the different hardware. I mean, how can they make Metro on PC, PS4, PS4 Pro, Xbox One S, Xbox One X, AMD CPUs, AMD GPUs, Intel CPUs, and Nvidia GPUs? How is this possible? Using your logic the high end PC version using an i7 and a 2080ti would look no better than the Xbox One S, because it had to be gimped for the inferior CPU and GPU.

Its not about looks, its about scope. Games can have much more, better and more complex enemy/npc AI when made for Zen2, without being restricted by the Jaguar.
NPC count can more than double making cities feel much more realistic.
Games aren't just about making graphics shinier and higher resolutions.

Indeed and I think some PC gamers may sometimes gloss over / miss how come PC games suddenly do big jumps every 7 years or so (I wonder what comes out that changes this
) and will be surprised when in 2021 some big PC games will see a sudden jump in minimum and recommended specs .

The issue is not visual flair. It's the general design decisions.
Arguably the biggest opportunity for next gen games will be related to stuff like AI, world density, removal of corridors, hidden loading screens etc. Catering to old hardware greatly diminishes the ability for developers too evolve from existing design decisions.

You have insiders popping up all over the place saying they know this and that. So rather than challenge yet another one (I mean, seriously, just how many insiders are posting fake leaks all over the internet? How many fake pastebins and other things must we see at this point?) he, apparently to the confusion of many, decided to not even bother to challenge it and just go along with it as part of an obvious bit of sarcasm. But rather than seeing all of Tim's post for the blatant sarcasm they were, people decided instead to think that maybe it's an alternate account, or some plot concocted by multiple users. The simplest answer is most likely to be the correct one: He was being sarcastic and basically undermining what that person said by attaching himself to it by appearing to agree with it wholeheartedly, which would naturally by default make everybody who wants to believe it's true very suspicious of it. Did it work?
True or not, everything that person said the moment Tim started to change his tune was suddenly highly suspect to quite a few posters. So, again, if his intent was to discredit it as total nonsense not worth anyone's time, it was only made that much easier to achieve by people not seeing the obvious. Sarcasm. He could look at that account and see it had like no post history just like anybody else could.

On the subject of launch titles, or titles that fall within the first year of the system's release, those are all likely to be titles that were already in development and probably weren't going to be evidence of a full next gen console title anyway. Or do we believe AAA titles take about a year and a half give or take?
If MS has the cooling advantage , that’s a big if, and it’s this close they could just clock it a bit higher 12,5 12,6.
