Tin foil hat time.
The rumour about Xbox E3 said that MS has bought a developer in Poland and Canada.
Well, Techland has it's main studios in Poland, but also has one in Canada.
Techland has also just announced they are putting back the release of Dying Light 2. Maybe they put it back as they suddenly dont have the pressure to release it now and have more resources and money coming in to them via MS to do what they really want to do with the game......

I actually think there's a good chance that MS have grabbed Techland.

If we suppose Retail PS4 will have CUs disabled then we have 3 DCUs (6CUs) disabled:

PS5 Retail? 3 SEs, 27 DCUs, 54CUs
11.20 TFs @ 1614Mhz
11.75 TFs @ 1700Mhz
12.44 TFs @ 1800Mhz

That is not a big chip btw.
Bigger than xsx, so pretty big. How likely are Sony to go with a big chip when PS4 and pro were all about keeping it cheap and smart?

Techland have come a long way. Last gen I remember playing Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood and how awful the animations were and how janky it was, even though I still enjoyed the game as a whole. Would be a massive acquisition as they seem to be a developer that just keeps getting better and better.

Didn't Sony want to stick with a $399 price? I don't think anything was stopping them from going after more CUs or ram. That would've helped with the bandwidth bottleneck, somewhat.

They still ended up being the most powerful even at the $399 price point and the Pro was grabbing features from unreleased hardware.

Actually I’m using Navi 10 as reference that has 2 SEs... so it won’t be that big I think.

Seems like Xbox One Series X has more CUs... so it is bigger.

Off course RT can change the estimates.

did we ever get any pro or X sales figures?
Someone mentioned that pro was way ahead but that's because PS4 sold more overall. So even if both accounted for 15% sales, pro would be ahead >2:1.

Fp16 was barely utilized. Only some 1st party studios used it.
They more than doubled the tf on pro but left the bottlnecks alone.
Let's hope that if PS5 is >10tf, they've thought about bus width and bandwidth.

it wasn't hard to be the most powerful back then.
4.2 TF was not that powerful even at that time. mid range PC cards reached ~6TF

also the RAM staying at 8GB with only a minor increase in bandwidth was very weak.

the PS4pro in general is just not a very ambitious product at all.
the new tech they did implement was only there so they could squeeze as much performance out of the lower mid range hardware as possible.

so they went as cheap as they could go for a console that is supposed to support 4k output. and it only managed to do that in very few games.
even when using chekcerboarding many games don't reach 4k, but went with 1800p often times.

there was hardware out there at the time that could have given them a system on par with the Xbox One X, but it would have been expensive. and they didn't want to go above $399
and I bet that this will be the case with the PS5 too. I don't see them going above 399 again.

But you're saying 3SEs. Someone on era, or was it b3d?, showed that a 54cu/3se chip would be larger than a 56cu/2se chip. 1 extra SE and WGP that would sit there, disabled.

If each Phil travel to Japan he could assure one game for Xbox then they should have released for the whole year lol

Phil goes to Japan four or more times per year but up to now they had any Japanese exclusive game.

That is why the meme Phil only talk no games exists.
Better then nothing
