I actually meant to type $500. poop. What part of Phil saying they won't be out of position in price or power is hard for people to understand?

"Eventually" is the key word here.
Ps now is a joke right now, it doesn't substitute great exclusives at launch.
Nobody who love sony exclusives is gonna wait years to play gow 2 or horizon 2 with input lag and mediocre performance.
We need clarity from sony, i'm not gonna wait months or years to play their games on pc, if they don't annunce their games at day one on pc i'm forced to buy a ps5., And like me, a shitload of people.
let me just shoot this down right now... no. Nothing extra, no hidden details, no codes, nothing.
But what I will say is it’s nice to know everything I said down to the t is correct.
Next up, PS5, let’s go again.
Didn't they also confirm $460 for the XSX though?
Yes easily , funded by game pass and Xbox live , Xcloud.
Series X 399.99. Do it MS!
It would be the drama we needed.
Yeah ok, but how much time pass between console release and ps now release?I used the PS now on PS4 I can download the full game or stream it, there two options. I have not used it on PC, but since Sony now using Azure servers, the ones Microsoft use for gamepass, a download full game option can be added. Sony will just have to request their devs to make a PC version!
Well fuck me. I wonder if PC hardware manufacturers will ever stop overcharging us out the ass.
They won't
7nm EUV would be my guess just based on the time frames. In October 2019 TSMC announced mass production of N7+. In November 2019 the devkits for XSX started to ship. Plus Tom Warren's "there's a good reason why Xbox devkit availability is lagging behind PS devkits" tweet. N7+ gives either 10 % performance gains or 15 % less power consumption. I doubt anybody will bother with 5nm. It's 7nm/7N+ for now for consoles and then 3nm in 2023. Should give a nice slim version half-way through the generation.I wonder if they'll use 5nm, 7 or 7 EUV considering Apple is using it for it A14 for it's September phones.
Apples and peer comparison, but considering the yield and stage it's in it might be a missed oppertunity.
Any reason you are excluding the Xbox/PS2 generation?
I don't agree that Sony had the power position on PS360. The proof was in the pudding. 360 games generally looked and ran better. PS4 only has the power position for the first half of this generation, then it swapped.
Yeah 'so equal in power' wont stop some morons believing the 12TF to 9TF gap because 'ma github leaks' lol.
Half this comments in this thread is insufferable console warrior nonsense. It's good though. I get to put more people on ignore.
No resigning required also, considering that those are initially scheduled for 7nm node to begin with.
Yeah ok, but how much time pass between console release and ps now release?
6 months? 1 year? More?
We are in a videogame forum, we are hyped hardcore gamers, no one is gonna wait that amount of time to play their favourite games.
I don't have the strengh to wait for some games.
Sony need to make clarity on their pc gaming release status hoping that they don't pull off a shitty move like microsoft did during this gen.
Also, the console itself looks fucking sexy. Just a big black monolith, I likey
"Biggest problem for Xbox is I can play their games"Biggest problem with xbox is that i have pc.
Microsoft having a clear pro-consumer attitude, glad they are there on the market shaking up things honestly.
How is it useless because you have a pc? Because you can play on your couch and then play at your desktop and your saved game transfers? They already are.
It is not, people forget how microsoft fucked every guy with a gaming pc during this gen.
I have a useless xbox one because M decided at some point to port every exclusive on pc.
This is stuff that you announce at the begin of a gen, not when people with a gaming pc already bought your shitty console to play your exclusive games.
MS would rather you play their games on Xbox due to the much higher chance you'll purchase other products they get a ~30% cut of."Biggest problem for Xbox is I can play their games"
Yikes.
Yeah, I see it more as a shot at Don Matrick and younger Phil Spencer.I don't see that as a dig at Sony. I swear people look for some of the craziest stuff.
More like, MS speak after they royally fucked up half this generation.
Not a problem though. You are still in the Microsoft ecosystem.Biggest problem with xbox is that i have pc.
Those suits like to say things like that, I would not take Phil's word as gospel if I were you, that guy is a PR mouth piece. What part of Phil saying they won't be out of position in price or power is hard for people to understand?

Dreams is a PlayStation exclusive.
But those are pretty high specs, I wonder what Sony has up their sleeves, if anything... In therms of specs this console checks all the marks for the next generation, we just don't know what it's going to be up against.
Xbox came in late there was no fanbase there at start
yesSo... does this make the Xbox Series X stronger than my GTX 1080 TI?
Have the controller for pc. Thanks thoughtOr you could.... come to the green side. We have really nice controllers.

Thanks.Ohhh the hurt lol. Calling people morons and all cuz you feel threatened by the competition to your console of choice.
I love when people embarrass themselves like this, its quite entertaining.
You mean the Xbox Series X GPU right? Maybe, depends of the leap between RDNA 1.0 vs RDNA 2.0So... does this make the Xbox Series X stronger than my GTX 1080 TI?

Sony must be getting some kind of response ready... The entire narrative is out of their hands right now.
You typically measure the difference from the weaker to the more powerful system, not the other way around. 9TF to 12 TF would be a 33% difference in power. 12 TF is 33 % more powerful than 9 TF.9TF and 12TF is a difference of 23.3%
that is basically the difference in GPU performance of the PS3 and 360 which had 192GF and 240GF respectively and well below the 30% of the PS4 to Xbox One difference which usually resulted in the difference being 1080p and 900p in almost all early to mid generation games.
taking into account that these systems will most likely not have the bandwidth issues the Xbox One had due to its cheaper RAM configuration the difference between a 9.2TF PS5 and a 12TF Series X will be way smaller than the difference between the PS4 and the Xbox One.
so to me that sounds like 2 systems that a very close to each other.
if this difference will come true we will maybe see that the Series X will have slightly better anti-aliasing in Game A, a slightly more stable framerate in Game B, maybe Game C which runs at 4k60 on Series X will "only" run at ~1900p60 on PS5 which then will use reconstruction to reach 4k and maybe in Game D the shadow resolution or foliage drawdistance will be slightly lowered on PS5.
these differences will be so small that you will need Digital Foundry to point them out to you or you wouldn't notice without having both games running on 2 TVs next to each other.
the insufferable console warriors are those that see any talk about the possibility of a very real source being the APU for the PS5 as a personal attack on them. when those specs would be considered very close to most people, especially those who have seen games in action on both.
people that saw Xbox One and PS4 games before they were revealed also called those systems' performances "very close", and they are pretty close to eachother... and the GPU alone wasn't responsible for many of the issues the Xbox One had with some games, that was also an issue with the slow RAM and the resulting smaller bandwidth. + the fact that developers had to use the system's ESRAM which was another extra step developers had to take to optimize Xbox One versions on top of the slower GPU.
Short answer: yesSo... does this make the Xbox Series X stronger than my GTX 1080 TI?
Sony must be getting some kind of response ready... The entire narrative is out of their hands right now.

Ihope that people who say that ms doesnt care if you play their games on pc or xsx, realise the issue with that statement.
This is top tier comedy right here.Meanwhile all the PS5 has so far is the Coronavirus.

Not many people know about dreams though.
No marketing from Sony and just a few copies sold. So, it doesn’t really matter.
