Speaking of Breaking Bad, you sonsofbitches better be watching Better Call Saul. Damn good 5th season so far, at least up there with BB (potentially better imo).

Also Kim's got a nice ass (y)

Begone Tommy! I hath conquered your curse, the avatar is under my control once more! Thicc girls shall prevail, ALWAYS and FOREVER!!!

I watched until like 4th then felt a bit boring. Need to visit it again.

I realize they are under different management now, but Sony revealed the PS4 in February 2013 when TLOU was due for release much later that year.
True but PS3 did not outsold X360 compared to the current situation in which PS4 is the undiscussed dominator of the generation, even though the could announce ps5 before then it will be much later throughout the year

As it is a game let's do one thing so you don't go crazy. Every day I will give a hint. And every day I will say if someone has succeeded or is on track. And not to saturate the thread maybe it is better that you send me PM.

At the moment you are not going wrong in the idea, but nobody has been right.

More tomorrow.

you might need a lot of hints then :messenger_grinning_smiling:
how many hints are possible until the only option left is to just give the numbers ?:messenger_tears_of_joy:

Is the February reveal happening or not?

Not as much as this guy :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Hahahha my Hero, he is right, this await is getting annoying, the current generation is really old and everything has been postponed to the next gen, we need some information, some games to talk about, Sony RE3remake, FF7remake, GoT and TLOU2 are not enough to carry over this generation any longer

I do think the longer they stay quiet, the more it has the potential to backfire. It sounds weird, but people think weird.

Like, for example, FFVII-R demo. I was hyped to play it. My wife, however, stated she'd waited so long for it to become a real thing from casually being shown from time to time for years that she didnt care anymore. Lol

One of my close friends works at the Sony HQ, I invited her out for drinks last night and I asked about the PS5 and she just looked at me, laughed and changed the subject....I think she's on to me :messenger_loudly_crying:
Keep the drinks coming until she spills the info! You know how this works come on!

Everyone seems to have gone a tad crazy in the last week or two; all down to people expecting a February reveal "because that's what Sony did with PS4".

Now, correct me if I'm wrong but Sony DID say that PS5 would follow a similar reveal timeframe to PS4, however I think people are misconstruing the meaning.

Let's look at PS4:
Release date: Nov 2013
Reveal of console design: June 2013 (-5 months)
1st discussion of specs and game footage: Feb 2013 (-9 months)

Now let's look at PS5:
Release date: Nov 2020 (assumed for argument's sake)
NOW: Mar 2020 (-8 months)
2nd Wired article: Oct 2019 (-13 months)
1st Wired article: Apr 2019 (-19 months)

So comparing these side-by-side, Sony is actually being far MORE open about the PS5 than they were with the PS4. There are slight differences, obviously; IIRC they showed some games and the controller at the PS4 Feb event, but conversely we've had much more exciting spec info much earlier with PS5.

Sure, MS have revealed the design of the XSX, two(?) first party titles (Hellblade 2, Halo 6), and just recently the whole 12TF/RDNA2 specs. OK, great, exciting - but still not a FULL reveal and holding some things back for later. But both companies are obviously working to different timetables.

So, let's do something a bit sensible that should help preserve our collective sanity.

I'm looking at the PS4 and PS5 reveal schedules and thinking that the 2 Wired articles are the equivalent of the PS4 Feb event. If so, we've HAD the big PS5 reveal that people were expecting last month!! The comparable event that we're now waiting for is the form factor reveal, which didn't happen until E3 June 2013.

Yes, I know Sony aren't at E3 2020, but instead of pinning all your hopes/self-bans/sanity on a date in 28 Feb - then pushing it back to 29 Feb, 3 Mar, 5 Mar, etc. etc. Just push expectations aaaaaall the way back to around the E3 timeframe.

So there ya go. That's where I'm putting my bet:
PS5 reveal in June 2020.

(And, no, I'm not an insider and don't need vetting. Just using my noggin.)

Honestly there are so many ways you can pull numbers to fit any narrative you wish from that GIF ( Optical, Mathematical, FM) that I suspect the method of its reveal will not be told until after Sony makes it official. So there is no real danger to him even if he really does know the #.

Then how did he almost get fired?

The gif or where it's from is irrelevant, BGs BGs said it was something to extrapolate.... Keeping in mind a few caveats from BG's

- He said when he presented himself that his avatar picture is generated from certain calculations (can't find his post since his profile is now private)
- Speaking the same native language as him I gather that he is indeed conveying that the information IS in the .gif file (that's where I'd look).
- Somewhere in time when we were discussing RDNA vs GCN flops (and their equivalent 'performance') he kept joking at 13.8 TF (I think he was hinting at GCN perfomance (maybe some dev kit in the past based in Vega VII?) ) and when people said it was about a 20% gain he reacted with a wink face maybe hinting at 13.8 GCN--> 11.2 RDNA (he reacted to someone who said this conversion, I'm not saying that the conversion is accurate).

Now, my guess is based in those two assumptions:
- Others are right. The .GIF file when you open it in a video editor you can see the length is 22,46. Seems intentional and is the reverse process from creating a GIF from a Video.
-Ilith (being the PS5 in this metaphor) touches the ground at second 11,86 TFlops <--- This is one possibility
-The length being 22,46 is weird too, maybe a reference to 2 instructions per cycle? Then it would be 22,46 / 2 = 11,23 TFlops<----- Other possibility.

Anywho, I had fun and that's all that matters.

Cheers!

The firm you work for is known and if you all actually have PS5 dev kits and PSVR2 dev kits any information whether direct or a hint is easily traceable by Sony. You all aren’t large enough to have the person hide like you may see at Ubi.

They would just kill off full access to your company because they have the right to do so. I would also be very surprised to hear about someone being “warned”. Typically, you will just get terminated. Even people who’s kids take photos of stuff without their knowledge are punished

The fact that you continue to post here with first hand information in a thread that is obviously monitored by Sony’s and MS ninjas is incredibly suspect. There is a reason that first hand leaks are incredibly rare and even more so from someone who has publicly stated where they work.

I don’t doubt that you work there but I have a very sneaking suspicion that while you are verified as to what you do that you do not actually have access to what you claim to.

Yeah, you are wrong. Sony never said they would follow a similar reveal timeframe.

Nah, enough with making sense. You are too reasonable! We want hype! Riddles! FUD! Drama!

Ask me about my wife's perfect butthole
- He said when he presented himself that his avatar picture is generated from certain calculations (can't find his post since his profile is now private)

Click his username, then click the number under "messages"; it will show you all of his posts.

Either way this shit is just too obscure; he's probably trolling.

Yea some people feel 4th season was kinda slow, I still enjoyed it quite a bit tho. 5th one so far has been quite faster-paced, feels like they're getting into endgame territory for sure.

I see he still has you under his curse. Stay strong, you WILL get your avatar back just have faith.
