QLED is not an OLED!!

Qled is just Samsungs bullshit scam marketing term to make consumers think that it is same as OLED, because Q looks a lot like O. I have seen many times that people buy QLED and then think it is OLED.

QLED is basically just like LCD (aka LED aka LCD led, they are all just LCD with different backlights and ones with LEDs are sometimes called LED tvs)

While OLED is all different tech + much better imo, for black levels and quality.

I still have Sony 48" fullHD but I'm waiting for 48" Sony OLED to be released.

Samsung tvs are bad anyway on quality wise, many people have had samsungs broke in my social circles but I know 5 people with Sony tvs from the same era as mine (around 5-8y old) and all work. Even my 1996 sony crt still works.

My sony smart TV has an issue with wifi following an update (it stopped working). They figured the update messed the WiFi card but since it was 2 months out of warranty asked me to pay. All Samsung TVs that my family has purchased still work as new.

I went OLED (C9) at the start of this year. I am a little concerned about longevity - last Sony screen had served me well for 8 years - so was seriously considering QLED. The clincher for me was price and picture quality. Samsung kept the Q90R price relatively high so it was £1150 vs £1800 in favour of the OLED when I pulled the trigger. Even if it only lasts 4 years I can pick another one up after that for a similar price to the QLED. Picture quality is a preference thing, but when I was erring on the side of QLED when ever I compared the two in a well set up environment I always preferred the OLED picture. I get why some prefer the QLED though.

You'll be fine as long as you vary your content and calibrate it accordingly. I had 2000 hours on my C8 before I gave it to my Brother. No issues there and just got the C9 last month. RTings did their extensive test for 9000 hours on the 7 series before you see any issues on the Panel.

Klee also said PS5 was slightly ahead of Series X's 12 teraflops. That must be the problem.

You can do 4K@60fps photorealistic, and in worst scenario 1440p@60fps, so don't worry about that, it's already been done by Quixel if you checked youtube and they mentioned that games being developed with photorealistic assets. Death Stranding was the first game to have Photorealistic assets and it was running on PS4/PS4 Pro, Quixel used 1080ti which is weaker than next gen for 4K photorealism with full physics as well: (No Raytracing though)



Don't worry. If you wanna boost that then go for Big Navi and next Nvidia.

I love that demo trailer with the vehicle. 1:50 is surreal.

and this is meant to be a software solution that basically eliminates the need for dedicated hardware.

so to me this sounds like Nintendo... mobile hardware and no RT hardware, would be the perfect fit.

but I have to say that I am extremely sceptical about this whole company, I'll only fully believe that they can deliver the performance they claim if they release a public downloadable demo or let a third party look at it in detail.

Every hardware acceleration needs software side to work.

MS is working with DXR.
Sony needs something.

What happens in these type of solutions if if the hardware has acceleration they use it if not they run on CPU or GPU without acceleration.
You can remember nVidia PhysX that can use the dedicated PhysX hardware if you have it on your PC or just use the GPU ir you don't.

For clarity, because a lot of sites have reported stuff wrong and whatever, my original clues pointed to “52cu @1600 or there abouts for 11.6”. This is what I was given. And 16gb ddr6 @512 however wrt memory that could change any time, as usual I won’t be saying anything else on this, I just wanted to put it out there as people seem to be getting all sorts of numbers.

That’s the last I’ll say on the matter, as I just want it to be over with after you know what, but needed to say that for clarification. Thanks.
