This. I think they were ready to announce until Corona happened. Then they took a wait and see approach since. Things obviously got worse since and they changed plans. They're possibly giving it another month or so to see if the Corona situation gets better or not. It's both not the time for it, as their announcement will get lost in all this Corona situation, and bad taste.

Let's not forget how this would affect production if it gets worse. So they don't want to announce something that wouldn't come out and break promises.

So imo it's not all in their favor now.

But a wired article talking about specs and what we should expect of their next gen console would be nice. It's not an announcement, just a subtle tidbit of info to keep us interested.

I'm hoping it won't take more than a month.

It’s only mid March, while a delay is a possibility, any projections now are pure speculation and conjecture.

I don’t think we’ll know how this shakes out until late May/June. If by then, the world is still in chaos, then we’ll see a delay and that will be the least of our problems.

The problem with this article is it doesn’t seem to cite any specific reasoning for the consoles to be delayed, aside from just coronavirus in general. We do know the manufacturing facilities are back up and running in China. Are they thinking the economy might force a delay? I don’t think that makes sense.

Depending on who, really. But no. SX has had a pretty solid 12 for a very long time, and PS5 was lower at 11 (actual figure given was 10.5-11.5 target) but changed course a while back. At least, those are the figures I was given. Other people have other figures.

And people are vary about person who are clearly xbos fan, nothing wrong with that, but talking about competitor, it's specs and it's prospect. It's hard to trust such person for obvious reasons - you never know where is real intention to share and where some narrative to push. From my understanding. The Silver ones was the first ones. They Ran hot and loud. Like the Silver Ones where loud 4-6 times louder then a PS Pro. From what I been told. Now mind that I haven’t seen any of the debug consoles in person. I’m Just relaying what I was told. They told me the Silver one’s would run so hot they would shut down and crash once a week if not a couple of times a week. Now this could be just an isolated instance with their Debug Console.

I may prefer Sony, but I've never sat under neutrality even though I still buy most of the MS games that I talk about....Thing is, regardless, I will never come in here and try to lowball MS specs and say they are 8-9.2TF or say they are not on RDNA2 or say they do not have hardware raytracing when I know they are on RDNA 2.....I will not try to be the bearer of XBOX specs either, like some XBOX fans are here being the bearer of PS specs, whilst putting the odd....

XSX>PS5, I will bank on it.......XSX cooling is better and they have tonnes of headroom, whilst PS5 is at it's limit and hot......

in all seriousnes, my PS4 pro is not much louder than my xox. I never had to play in headphones etc.

Whats up with Sony engineers man rightly cooling the damn thing should be a no brainer by now. Put a goddamn vapor chamber, and a good quiet fan in there, put a giant heat sink too if the thermals is not within the envelope. Just make it quiet and run cool at the same time. Design can be anything, any form factor will do as long as it is quiet and cool. Has PS4 and Pro thought you nothing??

I just want one of a kind over engineered cooling solution that may cost as much as the goddamn chip if you like, skirt the cost to users if you want to but make it QUIET!

You are throwing tantrum because some people do no want to take your words at face value and outright believe you? Not a solid mature behavior I would say.
You act as if "insider" knowledge put you above others and they should be gratefull for you to share. It doesn't work this way. First you should be trustworthy, And you should be aware that there is an issue here for the Sony camp, you have a clear bias, not really fit to take your info at face value. Second - you push yourself as a person who knows. Maybe, even probably you have information. But for many you just another xbox fan talking about competitor console, with questionable creditability. And even if you have information - there is a big question do you provide it objectively or you bend, warp or omit important parts intentionally or unintentionally to help it support your bias.
