You guys have been so very focused on TFLOPS this whole time. Its literally just been a dick measuring contest.
Whichever console has the lower number, will yield in the opposing side brigading about FLOPs until the end of the bloody generation. Fucking sorry state of affairs

I really want a power box but it might actually be a benefit to have a cheaper box in a weak economy. This should be interesting. I'm hype for noon regardless.

Jason has not come out of this looking well at all.

Power does matter. Sure the console warriors are annoying but at the end of the day a 3 TF difference is decently significant for devs to work with. Even if he wants to deny it.

Yes 100% and I'll still love those games but it is nicer to play them at higher frames and higher res with higher textures.

For me I'd rather spend an extra 100 to get the better machine is all. Again the Xbox TF don't matter if they don't make any good games for example.

Do you know to what tfs number he is referring to? 13? 12? No, you don't know. He may be saying that who expects 13 tf will not be happy. You don't need to know that it's exactly 11.5 to say that. You know it's 11 ish, that's it. If he knows it's about 11 or 12, he could also say "well, it's better than RTX 2080, as SeX". Nothing wrong here.

Yeah he’s coming off like a real ass right now. Brags about them being close in power and better than 2080 whatever it’s called. To now downplaying PS5 specs and calling Sony fans fanboys and warriors and who cares about teraflops. WTF?

That said he is very irritated in all his posts. A small TF difference bis insignificant. Other things can make up for it etc.

A large diff is very significant to what devs can do with the machine.

I guess I'm going to settle within the 11tf range myself...

Phil Spencer said they won't be outclassed in performance or price, I thi k they will be super close in performance and pricing unless sony tried to integrate the PSVR breakout box or something funky to drive up the cost.

Maybe he didn't. Otherwise if he did receive some data, he wouldn't made a predictions??? You don't make a predictions if you have some data. You give some tidbits as insiders do.

Then, IF it's the case, the prediction could just means that who expects 12, 13 or 14 tf will be deluded. Do you see anything inconfruent with the statement that it's more than RTX 2080 and close to SeX? No. because SeX is 12.1 and if PS5 is 11.5 the difference is NOTHING.

I too think Sony will show a few games tonight. They want to get in there right away. But be prepared for bullshot stuff, same as Hellblades trailer.

If you REALLY want games, wait for the E3 period, as that’s when all the game bombs will drop.

Today will be stuff mainly just to show you how things work, and they will make a much better job of it than Ms did yesterday with that stupid SSD speed demo that just served to confuse everybody.

Did so re-research about project Anaconda due to the XBX having a printed snake on the motherboard, and well, interesting results - over a year ago there were already leaks out there saying that Anaconda/Scarlett will have 8-core, 16-threaded CPU running at around 3.5GHz, a 12TF custom Navi GPU, 13+3GB GDDR6, and 1TB SSD. Since all the info was basically spot-on, I think it's safe to assume that the mentioned 499$ will turn out to be correct as well.

Same for the Lockhart specs - the same CPU and SSD, but 4TF GPU and 12GB RAM. Unless MS killed the concept and it will never see the daylight.

The same leaks also suggested that XBX will be more powerful than PS5. Curious to see how this leak turns after today's reveal. My guess is 54CUs but around 10TF due to lower clocks, which will allow for smaller cooling and therefore more traditional home console case format.
