I don't know what country your from, Spanish speaking obviously, but we could instead still do the bet and mail money to the Neogaf mods if you're serious/confident?

What's the bet about? Maybe I could join in, I got some toilet paper stocked up.I don't know what country your from, Spanish speaking obviously, but we could instead still do the bet and mail money to the Neogaf mods if you're serious/confident?
If you change your mind on the bet about the XSX vs 2080ti on gears 5, let me know?Brasil.
Brazilian Portuguese speaking.
You are wrong I don’t need a bet for that.
Yeah I offered it to you originally , directly in response but you said nothing. Do you want to take it now? What's the bet about? Maybe I could join in, I got some toilet paper stocked up.
How you gonna measure this performance? And you already have Digital Foundry who saw the benchmark opposing you on this. I think you being unreasonable.Yeah I offered it to you originally , directly in response but you said nothing. Do you want to take it now?

"Okay I see we differ in our reading context. I'm feeling pretty positive/confident in my understanding. Would you like to bet $100 dollars that, Gears 5 on the XSX will objectively outperform a 2080ti on the PC as currently benchmarked assuming parity in graphical settings as a baseline? The judge can be a Neogaf moderator such as EvilLore or Mod of War to determine the winner? We will be able to read I'm sure a report on this by December this year. What say you?"

I mentioned that in my post involving a Neogaf mod, but to elaborate: Upon release of the game, Gears 5 on XSX, in the months ahead and technical reviews released with benchmarks, that if one was assuming same graphical settings, that the XSX would outperform a 2080TI. A mod on Neogaf could make that judgement. A 3rd party, a Neogaf mod would decide like a judge. How you gonna measure this performance? And you already have Digital Foundry who saw the benchmark against you. I think you being unreasonable.
You want 66% more performance at 4K than 2080TI while running at the same settings, that's some Guillermo del Toro fantasy stuff right there. Send me the drugs you on, I want some of that creativity.I mentioned that in my post involving a Neogaf mod, but to elaborate: Upon release of the game, Gears 5 on XSX, in the months ahead and technical reviews released with benchmarks, that if one was assuming same graphical settings, that the XSX would outperform a 2080TI. When the ps5 review starts of with “please don’t compare with Xbox“ you know who the objective winner is ... tldr
Has always been that way. This is the same place where not too long ago things like double GPUs, 72 CUs and 18 tflop consoles were seriously considered and discussed. This thread has gone to shit.
That one was fucking hilarious
Pretty much lol. When the ps5 review starts of with “please don’t compare with Xbox“ you know who the objective winner is ... tldr
2.23GHZ pipe dream on PS5

No, they legitimately are excited about the system and aren't so close minded to think TF is the be-all-end-all for overall system performance and capabilities.
2.23GHZ pipe dream on PS5
Reality, 7NM Navi 10 40cu
And even then it is the smallest gap if assessing the difference, The results between the two will be negligible in real world, let’s compare;
Xbox One S - 1.4 TF
PlayStation 4 - 1.843 TF (+32%)
PlayStation 4 Pro - 4.2 TF
Xbox One X - 6 TFLOPS (+43%)
PlayStation 5 - 10.28 TF
Xbox Series X - 12.16 TF (+18%)
Waste of forum database space to focus on this difference over, and over, and over, and over....
I won’t because it makes no sense???Do 9.2tf for PS5. We should compare 100% sustained with likes.
That gives us +32%...

Doesn’t matter, they won’t read. But it seems that MS actually created a method for compression on textures alone,Hmmm![]()

I also read that SSDs when they get warm throttle to half speed in PCs, MS fixed this and they now can sustain this speed, with heat sinks on the SSD, their solution is also clever.
That to me sounds like MS doing damage control on whole decompressor debacle. Trying to say they don't have bottleneck like Sony but everyone and their dogs know the hardware is not as efficient and not only that but the algorithm they reference - BCPack is vaporware. And what kinda made up name that is hahaha its no Kraken!Hmmm

I'm confused then. What's the point of having PS4 Legacy and PS4 Pro Legacy modes if all the games are running in PS5 mode?
XBox 360 BC titles for Xbox One was only a few hundred. SeX is full BC with whatever games were already BC on Xbox.
360 BC was MS's first foray into gunning for BC, and they only got a few hundred out before calling it quits. The good point was many of them were boosted with enhancements. X playing the same games boosted some even more
So given that, PS4 BC on PS5 might be a similar hill to climb. On paper, you'd think it should be a slam dunk to have PS4 BC in full array since the tech is similar. Sex/X/One are pretty similar so it was easy. 360 took time. PS4/PS5 should be easy, but somehow it's not. PS1-PS3 is an afterthought.
Since PS5 will not support BC with most games right off that bat (except that up to 100 games claim), that leaves gamers wanting BC for the other 95% of PS4 games to do one of two things.
1. Wait it out for BC and hope it comes for that game
2. There is a magical new PS5 version that pops up on PSN, you buy that version for $$$, or hope Sony allows you to digitally download it for free so it's kind of like BC. Your PSN account will show if you played it, so it shouldn't be a hassle. No different than SeX allowing Smart Delivery so if you buy the game once it works on all Xbox systems
For PS4 games coming out right now..... LoU 2 and Ghosts, I don't even think Sony said they are BC. So if you buy them on PS4, and then get a PS5 and want to play it, it might not even work.
So unless Sony says their first party games are all BC, you might as well play safe if you're getting a PS5 and buy LoU 2 and Ghosts versions for PS5.
Still clever, some make it seem only Sony tackled their io bottlenecks. That’s all I am saying.I hate to break it to you but the BC set of texture compression algorithms existed a long time ago and is implemented in hardware on nearly every GPU on the planet, including the PS5. Microsoft has likely added new algorithms that bring a small boost to the compression but this isnt revolutionary.

And where does it say all 4000 games will be BC right away? They updated the blog, it'll run all 4000+ games on PS4 right away. What Cerny did mean was the PS4 games in PS5 boost mode to squeeze better gaming experience out of them. Expect more like smart delivery in bulk.
I watched the Cerny video again to double check. He did say these as their target:
1. Boot the game in a second.
2. No loading times.
3. New game design possibilities.
PS5 accessibility will be a big selling point next-gen. Personally, I'll choose PS5 version of 3rd party games even if I have a beefy gaming PC. That convenience of playing on your coach without setting it up or waiting for anything to load. Everything in an instant.

I like it how the SSD will be making up that 8-20% power difference he mentions. I also like how he says that PS5 has smart architecture and basically assuming that Xbox has a dumb one
. What's with all these devs suddenly coming out in defense of PS5? Same devs that were telling us PS5 tflop count is near identical to Xbox, some even telling insiders that PS5 has an advantage
. Absolute joke this.
definitely xbsex will be the multi platform king this gen, bit better FPS, bit better resolution, better rt, loading times just couple seconds longer than ps5, similar audio, bit better online services, and in addition as xbsex is also using the latest directx games will be much easier to port to it compared to custom apis that Sony might be using.
SSD make up for everything, that's why it's HUGE!
Couple seconds longer? There is no evidence about that.. What we have is MS showcasing their loading times showing 9 seconds of loading compared to 1 second of Sony. We'll see about that..
i think that this is a pipe dream, while first parties will make a use of the ssd to some degree, I doubt that we will see games really utilising it until time when ps5 pro releases(at least 2-3 years). In addition, cannot imagine 3rd parties investing extra time to develop solutions specific to use the ssd speed advantage.
MS does not say that, it was only regarding Xbox One. And wording is also very different, it's not "we believe"... I sincerely hope that PS5 delivers in this regard. Mainly due to Bloodborne, which I want to platinumed on better HW.So much for ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING being playable. There might also be exceptions on Xbox.
It's fine, really. Xbox still has it better due to the previous generations support, but it's time for the FUD regarding PS4 BC to stop.

The Secret Souce Delusions are strong in this one... Maybe Sony should redesign the PS5 to have just a quad-core CPU. 18CU GPU, and 8GB RAM, basically make another PS4, BUT - with 16 channel 2TB drive! Just think about the possibilities, dear lord!...
